Pros: What do you like about your 2011 Honda Insight?
Design, inside out.
Sportier ride than Prius.
Cheaper than Prius.
Cons: How would you improve your 2011 Honda Insight?
Better MPG.
AND even better MPG.
2011 Honda Insight Review:
I originally wanted a Prius, but the price point was much higher, the design as not as exciting, and the ride was not as sporty.
I do not regret my decision of buying my Insight. I drive over an hour each way to work, and my Insight saves me a lot of money in gas. And I am happy with how the car looks inside - it reminds me of a futuristic movie set.
The outside design is sportier, too. A lot of people told me that my Insight looks like a Prius, but small little design cues make the Prius look like a jelly bean. My Insight on the other hand, looks meaner and faster.
Fuel efficiency is the only thing that Honda can improve. Prius gets much higher gas mileage.
My next car decision is going to be based on how much more MPG that the next Insight can churn out. Toyota is coming out with a smaller Prius that would be price-comparable to the Insight, and is supposed to be even more fuel efficient than the current Prius. If Insight can match the MPG of the smaller Prius, then I would stick with Honda.
Knowing Honda's engineering prowess, I but they will be able to come up with something by then. I do hope so, because I like my Hondas.

Pros: What do you like about your 2010 Honda Insight?
What I LOVE about my 2011 Honda Insight is the gas mileage... I get 41.5 MPG (lowest) running errands and back & forth to work. I drove to NH and got 48.6!! (Calculated on my own, via miles divided by gallons).
I also like the style of the Insight verses the Toyota Prius... The insight looks sportier. I really dislike the Prius' back end lights and the body - looks too big for the wheel base or something.
Cons: How would you improve your 2010 Honda Insight?
My husband has a 2011 Accord and the lumbar support in his seats is awesome... I wish the lumbar support was a little better in the insight.
I also feel that the interior seat & door fabric and floor material is a little cheap... unless it's some kind of new fabric that just feels cheap.
I bought the top of the line Insight and am surprised I don't have lighted vanity mirrors in the visors... my husbands Accord is the basic model and he has lighted vanity mirrors... I think that's odd... but also minor.
2010 Honda Insight Review:
Overall, I really LOVE my Insight... I am saving so much money on gas that it is covering half the car payment. I never thought I'd ever get a 'small' car but after test driving the Insight, it didn't feel so small... I am just praying it will last years and years like all other Hondas do.

Pros: What do you like about your 2010 Honda Insight?
Love the gas savings!
Compact yet sporty!
Loved getting asked about the car!
Holds lots of cargo with the seats down (fit a 56" LED Tv back there)(6 full size dogs) and lots more (not all at the same time).
Cons: How would you improve your 2010 Honda Insight?
More leg room for the back seat riders.
Different sized tires! These tires are hard to find when you need to replace them. Yes, the dealership sells the tires but they always have high prices.
2010 Honda Insight Review:
I love my Insight. I shopped around and got exactly what I wanted.
All season floor mats are a great investment with kids of any age.
I have driven across country and taken several road trips with my Insight and get great gas mileage. I am always asked to drive on the longer trips. The best gas mileage I have had was going 55 mph with 63 mpg. I even took a picture because I knew people wouldn't believe me.
I highly recommend this car to everyone.
I love going out and being asked about the car. People tell me that at first they thought it was a Toyota. Once I tell them about the car they are astounded.
I wouldn't trade my 2010 Insight for anything (except maybe a 2011).

Pros: What do you like about your 2010 Honda Insight?
Total ownership cost.
Overall reliability.
Excellent fuel economy.
Own an EX with 16,000 miles.
No maintenance or warranty issues to date.
8,000+ miles between oil changes (and still 20% oil life remaining when oil changed).
Traction control system performs exceptionally well in deep snow or on icy surfaces.
Econ system truly coaches you to drive with an eye on great fuel economy.
Overall car handles in a tight and precise manner.
Road noise is less than the level claimed by the critics.
Cons: How would you improve your 2010 Honda Insight?
Improve rear seat head and leg room.
Average fuel economy calculations are 1.5 to 2.0 MPG higher than actual.
Distance to empty and average speed calculations are likewise inaccurate.
Dunlop a poor choice for tires (excessive road noise).
Horn is embarrassing.
Split rear window a necessity due to hatchback design, but distracting. Inside of rear window will reflect road striping (crosswalk striping for example) that creates an annoying flick or flash in the rear view mirror. Distracting.
2010 Honda Insight Review:
Overall an excellent value. At its price point, don't expect an Acura at economy car prices. Remember, the original Insight came before the Prius. Perhaps it's Toyota that has taken some liberties. We are actually considering the purchase of a 2011 to go along with our 2010. I bought the 2010 in August '09 to replace a cash for clunkers. Now I can't get my wife out of the drivers seat!

Pros: What do you like about your 2010 Honda Insight?
Great gas mileage even at 75 to 80 mph, 40 to 41 MPG, at 65 mph you can get 46 to 47 MPG if you pay attention to the ECO indicator.
Very sporty and great pick-up for a hybrid and the extra features on the EX make it worth every penny.
Drove a luxury Acura RL for 2 years and don't miss it at all. $20 at the pump sure beats $52 and it feels good, I laugh all the way to the bank.
Nice features, wonderful layout for the dash, and good sound system in the EX. I have an Acura RDX in the garage and would rather drive the Insight.
Fold down the back seat and you can haul a lot of "stuff"!
Cons: How would you improve your 2010 Honda Insight?
A few cons: tight back seat, no XM available with the navigation/radio setup, and a few of the dealer options like road lights are too pricey.
You can't get any options beyond the basic LE and EX that are not dealer installed. NO HID headlights available; BIG mistake! But I love the car anyway!
2010 Honda Insight Review:
Fun to drive, very economical, looks great, well thought out, comfortable for those in the front seats in long drives (I am 6'4"). What's not to love?
The price is right and it will get better each year!

Pros: What do you like about your 2010 Honda Insight?
You must understand that I have owned 911's, BMW's, Lexus, Acura to fully appreciate that I love my Insight.
The Insight is a fun little car with great gas mileage and it's helping the environment using the hybrid engine. I test drove lots of hybrids--and found the Prius to feel like my grandma's car in comparison to the more sporty look/feel of the Insight (and they are pretty similar in external appearance).
I have driven it on road trips and around town. It's fun to use the gauges to try to get better gas mileage as you drive. It makes it like a money saving game. The Insight's instruments/look and feel--make you feel like you are driving a cool little car.
I went with red, but I was torn with the silver.
I recommend it highly. I also love laying down the seats with the hatchback for shopping. It's just perfect. Of course, I barely had a trunk many times in my life with the convertibles--so, maybe I'm biased on that one. :)
Cons: How would you improve your 2010 Honda Insight?
I thought the paddle shifters were a little "korny" but I actually use them to downshift on the highway when I want to pick up speed efficiently.
I think the back seat is slightly shorter than the Prius, but I don't ride back there. :)
People on here have said it needs features like a sun roof, but sun roofs probably aren't that fuel efficient and due to drag lower the MPG.
I would like a sunglass holder...and I'd move the cup holders back a little more.
I would've loved a yellow one. The color choices could have been a little better.
2010 Honda Insight Review:
I am a big fan. I love the car. I can't tell you how picky I am...so, this review might be lost on most of you...but for those who understand that concept--you'll know that I really think everyone should buy an Insight!!!

Pros: What do you like about your 2010 Honda Insight?
Exterior styling.
Love the dash - it really trains you to get the best mpg possible. At 5,000 miles I have averaged 51 mpg.
I have a fully loaded EX w/nav that was only $21,900, about $8,000 less than a comparable Prius -- I love this car!
Cons: How would you improve your 2010 Honda Insight?
I think the cloth and carpet should be a better quality.

Pros: What do you like about your 2010 Honda Insight?
Looks good.
Cons: How would you improve your 2010 Honda Insight?
Seats very hard. Long trips hard to take. Need to make the vehicle more comfortable.
Every two or three weeks, there is a noise that comes out of the dash, near instrument cluster. It is relatively loud and annoying. Honda should figure that one out. When I take it in to dealer, it doesn't make the noise. But I have recorded it on my phone.
I hope Honda reads these posts.
2010 Honda Insight Review:
Will not buy another Insight unless the ride is more comfortable and the noise problem is fixed.
I hope Honda reads these posts, or it might go the way of GM.

Pros: What do you like about your 2006 Honda Insight?
As a "mission-specific" machine, it's about as perfect as you could possibly imagine.
No trailers, no heavy foot and you will be rewarded with 60+mpg at 70mph and the unique ability to drive through weather conditions causing SUVs to hide under bridges. A perfect "get me, my pal and luggage from point A to point B with no fuss at all".
And then there's the Honda support. Extraordinary! If you can find one, buy it.
Cons: How would you improve your 2006 Honda Insight?
Any changes to broaden the mission-specific nature of this vehicle would make it worse.
