2010 Mercury Milan

Pros: What do you like about 2006 Mercury Milan?
Car handles well.
The exterior is sleek.
Sound system is great.
Interior is comfortable and looks good.
A lot of room in back seat.
Plenty of storage.

Cons: How would you improve 2006 Mercury Milan?
Improve the 4cyl motor and gas mileage.
Change the upholstery material.
Shifted very rough after 45,000 miles.

2006 Mercury Milan Review:
Gas Mileage not the best but adequate in a 4 cylinder however I would suggest the 6 cyl. The 4 does really good when it is new and slowly it gets very sluggish pulling out.

The one I owned made really loud noises when you started it up after about 45,000 miles, especially when it was cold. I serviced mine at the garage where I purchased it and tried to do it on schedule. I did let the oil changes go to 4000 miles a couple times but for the most part it was serviced in a very timely manner.

I hated the limited visibility you have backing up.

I also hated the upholstery on the seats. Mine was black sort of a velvet feel. The carpet was also black, if you purchase one make sure the interior is not the above. I had to use a lint roller to clean the seats it showed everything and everything sticks to it. The interior was next to impossible to keep looking clean.

I didn't hate it but I recently wrecked it and will not be purchasing a new one.

Pros: What do you like about 2008 Mercury Milan?
It's a nice size. Not too big, nor too small.
It's very quiet when cruising down the highway.
The MP3 player is great. I can get hundreds of songs on 1 CD in the MP3 format.
The available satellite radio receiver and Sync system is fantastic.

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Mercury Milan?
Rear visibility is awful. I'm glad I have the reverse sensor assist.
The auto transmission selector needs more positions than Drive and Low. Sometimes I want to drop down one gear to get ready to pass. If I drop to Low then it goes down to 2nd or 3rd at highway speeds. It would be more fun with the auto-stick option that the 2010 Milan V6 has.

2008 Mercury Milan Review:
I've been wanting a Milan since they came out in 2006. I bought an '05 Sable LS the year before, so I figured I'd be practical and wait until I really needed a car. So this past year I finally decided I'd been practical enough and got a year old '08 Mllan V6 (not the premier though).

I can't believe how solid, tight, quiet and comfortable it is to drive and ride in. So much so that it's almost boring... which I like.

The V6 performance is more than adequate, except for the auto trans limitations I mentioned above. My average gas mileage (75% highway/25% city) is 27.4 mpg. Not bad at all since it's rated at 26 highway by the EPA. I'm very happy with my Milan.

2006 Mercury Milan Review:
I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER PIECE OF JUNK LIKE U PUT ON THE ROAD!!! BECAUSE OF THIS STUPID PIECE OF JUNK STALLING (YES THE GAS WAS TO THE FLOOR TO TRY & GET IT OUT OF THE WAY) IN THE MIDDLE OF A VERY VERY BUSY ROAD IT ALMOST KILLED 4 PEOPLE. MY HUSBAND BOUGHT ME THIS BRAND NEW FOR OUR ANNIVERSARY, IT'S NEVER BEEN TREATED BAD & HAD ALL OIL CHANGES & INSPECTION'S IT IS SUPPOSE TO HAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice style and plenty of leg room.
Get lots of compliments on its looks.
We have a standard and love it.

O2 sensor had an issues....it makes the engine light come on.

I like the gas mileage.
I have a manual transmission & love it.
This car has lots of class & style and I like the silent way it drives.
I also love the tail lamps - they're very different.

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Mercury Milan?
I had a very hard time trying to see over my back window when I first got my car. To this day I use my rear view mirrors to guide me while backing up otherwise I'd be in deep trouble.

2008 Mercury Milan Review:
I bought this car in 2008 & I absolutely love it!! It gets respect on the road & lots of looks. I've had many people whom I don't know tell me how good my car looks (I only keep it clean constantly). Mercury has my vote for making an outstanding, dependable, and classy vehicle!!

Pros: What do you like about 2009 Mercury Milan?
Beautiful car inside and out....... I love two tone leather interior, the exterior is very classy from the grill to the tail lights.
Mileage 17 town, 28 highway, very good compared to van I traded.
V6 has plenty of pickup and power to suit me, nice ride.
Car is loaded with nice extras, sunroof, sync, ambiance, bluetooth.

Cons: How would you improve 2009 Mercury Milan?
Having intermittent problem with cruise, haven't had a chance to drive in bad weather yet.

Great car in its class.

The looks and fit and finish.
Lots of bang for the buck in the Premier.

Cons: How would you improve 2009 Mercury Milan?
Different headrests and power passenger seat.
Reduce engine noise on acceleration.
Chrome exhaust finisher on the I4 Premier.

2009 Mercury Milan Review:
Overall this is the best car for the money in its class.

Nice for all ages.
Nice Price.
Gas mileage is good.
Very safe - I was in a head on collision with my Milan and it saved my life!

Cons: How would you improve 2007 Mercury Milan?
Lighted glove compartment.

Pros: What do you like about 2006 Mercury Milan?
Premier V-6 has plenty good power.

Cons: How would you improve 2006 Mercury Milan?
Console radio needs manual tuner.
A/C is weird when it comes on - it blasts out on high; needs memory control system.
Passenger side wiper corroded way too fast and they needed to be in normal stock supply at dealership, not a special order.

But all this is for naught because the Mercury line is being phased out. Interior space is sawed off and uncomfortable like a nice suit with a cheap interior. Kinda glad Ford killed off Mercury.
