2007 Kia Rio Review:
We're not please with this vehicle at all besides the mileage. We have had problems with the locks and alarms in the hot weather and recently with the brake lights and it is not a light bulb issue.

I haven't had one issue with my Kia Rio in my first 2 years of ownership. Highly pleased with this vehicle.

The second set of rims that came with it are nice.
It came with a great subwoofer.
I like the fact that you can get the wipers to go once. Often when cleaning the windshield with fluid, the wipers go on too long.

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Kia Rio?
Can't get up a long gradual hill.
My wheels were unaligned from day one. Went through a quick set of tires.
Gutless.
Mileage was quite a bit less than advertised.

The few things I like about it do not make up for the whole car. There's a reason it sells for such a low price. My dad likes his van, I thought it would be better. A 3 dressed up as a 9 (as a great Canadian band once said).
I'm 45 and this was my first new car ever. Not happy with it. I'll keep buying used.

2009 Kia Rio Review:
Got the 2009 Kia Rio manual transmission EX. Been very happy with it, I got a great deal on it with the almost 4k cash rebate AND 48 months 0% financing offer AND got it for invoice price. I just have a problem with the FM radio reception, but Kia will be replacing the radio soon, they have it on order.
I like the way my Kia Rio looks and I like how it handles, very fun to drive.

Not much, other than pretty good on gas.

Re-do the whole thing and spend more money on "quality" items-this can be done even in economy cars-does not have to made so cheaply.

2008 Kia Rio Review:
Very cheaply made. Weather stripping around all four doors is only held in place by tiny plastic pieces creating many gaps which allow water to enter the vehicle. No place is it glued down all the way around. Weather stripping on windshield not secured down all over-allowing some moisture to get into car. Seats are extremely uncomfortable and hard, I guess they were made to last longer-but not a plus to this car. Constant vibrating in steering wheel when in park and while driving-was told by KIA dealer service dept-have to expect this with a 4 c. engine-which is not correct. All of above problems downplayed by Kia dealer service dept. and stated all O.K. Still having problems. KIA contacted directly-no success there either. I would Not recommend this car to anyone. While it is considered an economy car-comes at quite a high price in most all ways to the owners.

I've had nothing but problems with this vehicle ever since I bought it. At first the check engine light was on for about a week, then the wiring harness goes out 2 months later. The dealership had our vehicle in the shop for 10 days. They didn't even offer a rental vehicle until I demanded one. Then I contaced Kia directly and they haven't done anything. All they keep telling me is that this stuff happens and that's why they have a warranty. Well I didn't buy a new vehicle to have problems with it. I could have gone anywhere else and I wish I would have. This is the worst vehicle I've ever bought. I will never buy from Kia ever again!!!!
