2010 Ford Explorer Sport Trac

Pros: What do you like about 2007 Ford Explorer Sport Trac?
Having owned a 2003 sport trac, and now a 2007 the ride is much smoother on the 07, and the interior seems to be more user friendly. The cargo bed has several containers the previous sport tracs lacked, however they are not water proof. I suggest paying the $265.00 for the upgraded seats it's worth the small amount. The moon roof is also a nice option. I was upset about having to pay extra for the rear sliding window, this was a standard option in the past. I would not like the sport trac without the rear sliding window option,there are too many uses and positive reasons for having an automatic sliding rear window. Skip the leather option Ford leather is poor at best, I have always used after market products like Kat Skin,the leather seems to be as tough as steel and the entire sport trac can be done for under $1,300. My only dislike about the 07 is the front grill, it looks stupid, however being hooked by the sport trac I was willing to overlook this ugly cosmetic feature. The 2007 sport trac is worth a test drive where you can choose for your self if the truck is what you need.

Front grill needs a make over. The rear sliding window should be standard, not an extra.

2007 Ford Explorer Sport Trac Review:
The 2007 sport trac is a four out of five. Options are necessary to bring the truck up to its full potential, I spent over $3,000 on options on my XLT and it is as nice as some of the limited editions yet I still get the two tone trim which I liked the limited does not have the two tone trim option so with the right options you can have the xlt package but the guts of a limited eddition.

4.6 has lots of get up and go.
Tonneau and bed extender are greater extras.

Better fuel economy.
Sliding rear window as basic package.

Love the truck, 2nd I have owned. The suv truck body is very functional. 4.6 has lots of power. And not much less fuel economy then 4l.

Everything. Due to my job I travel a lot and haul a 26 travel trailer and it does it fine.

It is just the best truck on its segment.

The handling of this truck rivals that of many cars with more sporting deceptions.
Make sure to get the 4 x 4 version and out-gun everybody at the stop light (especially with snowy surfaces).
The ride height is great and the overall outside appearance is better than the Ridgline.

The cloth is to be avoided! If you end up with one with cloth, get the leather kit and have it changed out A.S.A.P.
Remember, this is a body on frame truck so it is not a light one.
The bed is a bit small, but just consider it a large trunk, especially with the hard tonneau cover.

Great vehicle! Beats the run-of-the-mill pickups out there and puts the Ridgeline out to pasture.

I love the looks, the quietness and feel of the ride. The 6 speed is great with the V8. This thing has great brakes and the sound system in Fords is always the best for a factory system. Great ride, tight. Would buy another one. Traded in a 06 Tacoma for it. Sport Trac rides much better and feels like a better built truck.

Go back to a limited slip rear. It is better! Get the chrome off the dash.
Relocate the door handles and the grabber in the middle. Offer duals with the V8, even as an option (we'll pay). Bring back the electric up/down rear window, even with the moonroof. That's it!!!!!

Turn it into a Ranger Super Crew with a slightly longer and more useable pickup bed. Ranger options that I could choose a work truck up to a luxury truck according to my taste.Ranger and Sport Trac same size and power train, Ranger just more user friendly in the truck catagory

Ford, Give us a Ranger Super Crew. I am driving a 2007 Explorer Sport Trac which I love but still would prefer a Ranger Super Crew. I have driven Rangers since they came out in the 80's. I waited for years for you to introduce a crew cab model like all the other manufacturers. But no you thought it might hurt Sport Trac sales? Believe me you would have sold more overall vehicles if you had given us the Ranger Super Crew. The Ranger would have had a longer bed and better look to me than the Sport Trac. Sport Trac too glitzy. The Ranger has more options and cab be a work or dress truck depeding on your desire. And a more useable pickup bed. You have my model in other countrys so truly think you should rethink this gap in your lineup.

I love the way it looks. The size is perfect for my uses. My first and only Sport Trac was a 2003 and I loved it. The '08 is quieter, more whistles and bells, and maneuvers better than my '03.

Improve the interior front door handles. Not conducive to normal bodily function. Could be mistakenly opened in a moment of fear-groping.
