2010 Ford Edge

Pros: What do you like about 2010 Ford Edge?
Excellent exterior design.
Good power and quiet interior.
Good handling in all types of weather.
Good discount price from mfg. suggested list.

Cons: How would you improve 2010 Ford Edge?
Get rid of the crappy cheap plastics in the interior. Dashboard, doors and tailgate. This is not worthy of a $35k vehicle.
Brakes are spongy and the transmission seems clunky and wanders.
Make the tail gate glass to open and close.
The exhaust should be a true dual exhaust instead of the make believe dual exhaust.
The exterior could be fully painted instead of the cheap looking lower black plastic cladding.
I find quite often the signal stalk when activated turns the high beam lights on. It's too sensitive to the touch.

2010 Ford Edge Review:
I had one issue after 3 months of ownership. The back tail gate glass have two score marks from the wiper. The dealer said a Ford rep will have determine if this window should be replaced under warranty. Ten months later and two follow up letters no one has responded. I concluded customer service ends after the sale with Ford vehicles. The dealership I purchased the vehicle from would qualify as a 1 rating. They have very little knowledge of this vehicle.

Pros: What do you like about 2010 Ford Edge?
It drives very smooth, compared to my former truck (JEEP).

Sync is great, vista roof is also great.

Lots of room for cargo and people.

Plenty of power in my mind, where can you drive in North American other then a track where you need more power?

Only have 2200 KM's or 1320 Miles so no real issues yet.

2010 Ford Edge Review:
2010 Edge Ltd bought in Dec 2009. Tire pressure sensor failed that day. Not compatible with Iphone as stated. Sunroof rattles when cold. Tranny slipping (again after repair), gps/enter system is defective (keeps crashing and glitching), driver seat loses memory and is now loose, one touch sunshade is failing, brakes needed recutting at 2600 miles (pads fine). I spent 3 mornings at Ford and lost this for 30 days in the first 4 months. Still have problems. Going back in Monday for more work. Ford won't work on sunroof anymore (6000 miles) and knows rattle is common problem. Ford offered my attorney $3000 for my time. That would still leave me with a defective vehicle. Stay way from Ford. They don't care.

I love the interior. I bought the Edge Limited-leather seats, navigation, reclining rear seats with plenty of leg room.

Drives very quiet.

The exterior is good, but it does have a little bit of a mini-vannish look, instead of a suv look.

It drives wonderfully, corners well, feels very solid and runs quiet. I would definitely recommend this vehicle to anyone looking for a crossover.

Love my new car and most everything about it.
Love the color design and inside.
I have the limited with Nav. and all the voice and fun stuff, love the roof and the view, and love the computer for all my music.

OK heres the prob. I only have 1177 mi on it, and am having severe transmission prob. When stopped at a light, my car doesn't want to go when giving it gas and then it engages lurching my car forward and does this twice before fully engaging. Took it into Ford 45 mi ago, and they couldn't find out what was wrong, other than being low on transmission fluid from the factory, (I guess they forgot to check it too when I drove it off the showroom floor), so 45 miles later it does it again! Crap ! So.. I'm calling them and taking it in again this morning. I'm scared it will lunge forward into another car or worse a crosswalk etc..... Pray for my baby... I don't want to have to deal with a brand new $43,000.00 car and problems.

It is roomy and powerful.
It also looks great.
The price is right. For the price you're getting, you couldn't ask for a better vehicle and is so sure footed in bad weather from what I have driven.

Would like more power. That's it.

It has potential for the consumer that needs general transportation and not have to pay and arm and leg for the vehicle.

Don't plan on having the rear seat passenger take a long ride. The seats are not for comfort - might as well lean against a flat board. Seating for very small people. Took one for a test drive I have lots of reservations about the back seating and will have to warn my passengers up front and take them on short trips only.

Edge needs a new version.

2010 Ford Edge Review:
I don't know why this is called Edge. What's edge about this car? It's totally the opposite of being Edge.

I leased mine and am waiting for the next version to come out. I looked at Chevrolet Equinox, and decided that I liked Edge better.

It also had to do with the fact that my tax dollars went into GM but GM is still struggling. They are shutting down so many different brands - Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Saturn, Saab - that I am not sure if they will ever make it.

Having said that, Edge can definitely improve in almost every aspect. But let's not lose the clean exterior design.
