Pros: What do you like about 2010 Chevrolet Equinox?
264HP V6 power.

Interior styling is top notch, very Acura looking and feeling!

Plenty of torque!

Put it in Manual mode and it's like a race car. I've drove V8 mustangs that didn't feel this strong.

Great looking!

Comfort is 10++.

Back up camera, helps blind spots wile backing.

Cons: How would you improve 2010 Chevrolet Equinox?
Check engine light came on after 2000 miles due to a bad sensor for the throttle position control, whatever that is. Did not effect the performance at all, just makes you feel bad that a brand new car had a check engine light on. But seems to be very isolated.

Fuel economy on the V6 is below average, but a great trade off for the extra power. We average between 20 and 22MPG according to the on board computer.

It kept the name of equinox. They should of renamed it, when I tell people that I own an Equinox they think of the old clunky ones.

2010 Chevrolet Equinox Review:
We own a 2LT 264hp V6.

This car is extremely fun to drive, when I can pull it away from my wife. The comfort and styling makes me feel like I'm in a luxury CUV costing in the range of $50,000.00 or so. Let me make a statement that I am not a fan of the old Equinox at all. I never liked the look inside or out. This 2010 total blew me away and reshaped my opinion. For a midsize CUV this thing will shag on down the road with the best of them. Put the thing in manual and rev it about 7,000 rpm in 2nd gear with the 264HP V6 and you'll see what I'm saying total fun, totally powerful for a CUV, although my wife only let me do that once or twice. Now I'm not talking Camaro or Corvette fast but defiantly BMW X5 fast feeling at least. But going past the motor, it's full of features and gadgets. The Pioneer Premium sound system sounds very accurate and the bass is very beefy. The highs could be a little higher, but I'm probably a little tone def because of my growing up with loud music. The seats sit great, after a 2 hour drive I'm not stiff at all. I could drive this to California with out getting up, well maybe to sleep, but you get my point. The IPod control is excellent, love that feature. The Bluetooth phone hook up is perfect and worked with our old phones. The review camera helps with blind spots wile backing, love that. I'm now the biggest On-Star fan ever, love that feature.

We test drove the 4 cylinder version of the same car and it felt ok in power. I slammed that one to 7,000 RPMs and it kicked a little. For a I4 motor pretty powerful. Extremely quiet! You have to look at the RPM gage to know if the motor was still running. The v6 on the other hand you hear, but the sound is beefy, especially at 4,000 to 7,000 RPMs. I was more impressed with the V6 than the I4, as far as power goes. It has a little race inspired sound to it. But if you want fuel economy the I4 does not lack power. It has only 82 less horse power, which is a lot but not too much less. You get the same great car with just a small eco friendly motor. We probably would have got the I4 but I like to get the biggest motors in what ever I get, I'm a teen at heart I guess. I also like the dual chrome exhaust on the V6.

But all in all for driving like my wife does, very family oriented, and very comfortable, with a little something for the big kid in the husband. I've driven many sports cars and I rate this in the powerful category, not drag strip ready but defiantly fast whether you agree or not.

In conclusion all in all the best quality to price of any car in the world. I really feel that this could help GMs rep along with the 2010 Camaro! A lot of bang for the buck!

Pros: What do you like about 2010 Chevrolet Equinox?
What a huge improvement from the last version! It looks good outside, inside layout is easy to use, and drives ok. And it's so fuel efficient!

Cons: How would you improve 2010 Chevrolet Equinox?
I wish it had more power. It is fuel efficient though.

2010 Chevrolet Equinox Review:
Equinox is probably the most useful and good looking car that came out of Chevy line up, as long as I can remember.

Cheap plastic interior

2010 Chevrolet Equinox Review:
The car looks great from outside. And the fuel economy is well above the previous models.

I thought I could live with the fact that it has a mere 2.4L I4 engine. After all, it's an SUV - a small one, but still an SUV. The lack of power is prominent, which is nothing like the previous GM cars. At the same time, handling is not as precise as, say Honda. It's a double whammy.

Interior material can certainly improve. Much too easily scratched.

Supporting GM is great, and GM seems to be on the right path. But too much refinement remains to be seen.
