Pros: What do you like about 2011 Volkswagen Tiguan?
Model: Trendline, 2.0L Turbo, 6 Speed Automatic + Winter Package
-Engine is powerful, sprints up fast
-Pretty and stylish
-Good stereo system
-Excellent suspension
-Excellent Handling
-Quiet
-Excellent bump, and curve handling.

Cons: How would you improve 2011 Volkswagen Tiguan?
-Gas consumption is not as advertised or not as expected for an European car.
-Heat and and air flow knobs.
-More cargo space, (A camping fold-able Chair does fit only on an angle)
-More rear knee room.
-Offer for all models the blue-tooth, is 2011, not 1999.
-Reduce the price.

2011 Volkswagen Tiguan Review:
There are as many good things as the bad things about Tiguan.
I Bought it 2 months ago. I had to do the engine break-in period for first 1000 Km, holding it back under 2400 - 2500 rpm. I have now 3000 Km on board.
I drive 90% highway on flat terrain and the average gas consumption was a bit over 10L/100Km. With 91 octane grade, supreme gas (This is the highest octane on all pumps I can find in Toronto) the exhaust gets dark-dark too fast. Without wind deflectors at rear windows you really cannot keep them open because of the DUM-DUM-windy effect. The car is not what I expected to be, and there is no such thing as 'German Engineering'.
Overall I rate this car at 4 out of 5 stars.

Pros: What do you like about 2010 Volkswagen Tiguan?
Solid and smooth ride. Great size for two empty nesters, versatile with lots of utility but not oversized or cumbersome.

Great fuel economy for this type of vehicle but very good performance as well.

The seats are extremely comfortable especially as compared to previous Japanese models we have owned.

We have driven in quite severe winter weather with the OEM tires (Michelin all season) and have never had difficulty with traction or stopping, although this is more a tribute to the rubber vs. the car. That said I have to keep a close eye on tire pressure as it tends to drop a bit over a month. If it came with any other make of tire I would probably opted for a set of 4 winter boots.

Massive sunroof almost makes our convertible redundant.

Cons: How would you improve 2010 Volkswagen Tiguan?
Outward styling is a bit off, especially the front overhang. The newly released 2012 seems to have corrected this.

It would be nice if Volkswagen would put more effort into setting up a trailering system.

2010 Volkswagen Tiguan Review:
This was our first venture into buying a European car and I would buy another V.W. in a heartbeat if the need to get another vehicle arose.

Great ride and handling with good performance and economy. The realized fuel consumption well exceeds published figures if driven at calmly at legal speeds. We have the Highline version and the bells and whistles are a bit of an excess but makes the vehicle so much more fun. The construction of the vehicle is also very substantial, you get the impression that a heavier gauge steel was used in construction.

Great interior.
Great exterior.
Love the breaks.
Very dependable car.

Cons: How would you improve 2011 Volkswagen Tiguan?
I wish that you could get the sunroof without the nav. My next Tiguan will have both.
I actually prefer the leatherette to the leather in the limited edition though.

2011 Volkswagen Tiguan Review:
I was just in a major car accident. My Volkswagen Tiguan (2 months old) was hit by a woman who ran a red light. My car flipped twice and somehow I'm alive with not a scratch on my body, just neck pain from the airbags. For me to survive an accident like that shows that this car is amazingly safe and dependable.

The gas mileage is very good (better than my current compact car rental) and the interior is gorgeous.
