| Pros: What do you like about 2009 Mazda MAZDA5? For people who want a roomy wagon without the bloated bulk and stigma of a true minivan, this microvan offers plenty of versatile cargo room, occasional seating for 6, mid- to high-20's gas mileage and sporty enough handling that you'll never seriously consider an SUV again.
Lots of clever storage inside and sporty styling outside make this a great package for a family on a budget.
Fully loaded with leather, a sunroof, 5-speed transmission, Bluetooth, and a ton of other bells and whistles for under $24,000 too. Can't beat that. Cons: How would you improve 2009 Mazda MAZDA5? Not as big as a true minivan, so families that are trying to downsize might be a bit cramped. Folks moving up from an economy car or family sedan however should find this more than adequate for most occasions.
Might feel a little underpowered when loaded up, especially if you're moving over from a full size SUV or van with a big V6 or V8, but then again it's not as thirsty as those vehicles either. 2009 Mazda MAZDA5 Review: A just-right vehicle for families on a budget who don't want or need a full size SUV or van. This microvan has a small footprint but tons of versatile space inside. Fun to drive too, with surprisingly good handling and responsive controls. All that for a surprisingly low price too. |

| Pros: What do you like about 2009 Mazda MAZDA5? A very spiffy car around town, very sporty handling. Looks are great. The interior is very adequate for me and my wife and two moved-in granddaughters. Very small turning radius, and seats 6. Cons: How would you improve 2009 Mazda MAZDA5? The front arm rests are extremely small, and not enough cup holders, although the bottle holder on the front doors sort of makes up for it, if i remember to use them. My very biggest complaint is the mpg, only 15 around town and 19 on the highway. I took it to Mazda, and they checked it out from front to back and found nothing wrong, so see if improves over time, hope so or I will be very unhappy with a $24,500 dollar venicle. |

| Pros: What do you like about 2009 Mazda MAZDA5? Perfect size. Cons: How would you improve 2009 Mazda MAZDA5? Design. Reliability 2009 Mazda MAZDA5 Review: I came very close to buying this car. The size is perfect for a family, and the MPG is great for a minivan.
But I decided to wait until Honda launched the next generation Odyssey. Their Japanese version seems to be the best family car for the time when the gas price hits $5 per gallon. I hope they bring it over here. |

| Pros: What do you like about 2009 Mazda MAZDA5? The perfect sized minivan when the gas price hits $5 per gallon. Interior layout is efficient even though it feels much smaller than Honda Odyssey. Cons: How would you improve 2009 Mazda MAZDA5? Lacks Mazda's Zoom-Zoom-ness. You can't expect a minivan to drive like a sports car, but this minivan may be lowering the overall brand image of Mazda.
The back design can DEFINITELY improve. Looks like a bubble that's about to fizzle. 2009 Mazda MAZDA5 Review: Great sized minivan for this day and age. I wish it had the reliability of Honda and Toyota minivans. I am having some issues, and it's a brand new car.
If Honda brings over their Japanese version Odyssey, that is going to be my next car. It looks sharper and I'm sure it has great reliability.
And I can't figure out if Mazda is an American company or not. Did Ford completely drop Mazda? |
