Pros: What do you like about 2006 Land Rover LR3?
Great Luxury features and ride.
Interior space is great.
If the electrical and mechanical engineering were as good as the design team, this vehicle would be outstanding. Should be engineered and assembled somewhere other than UK.

Cons: How would you improve 2006 Land Rover LR3?
In the shop! In the shop! In the shop! Extremely poor build quality and shabby engineering. Transmission control module sits under the battery and shorts out.

Does what I need to do when I need to do it, goes anywhere and with style.
If I could do what I do in a KIA, I would buy one. I drive off road about 50% of the time in very difficult terrain. I also have to drive a lot of highway miles and need room for 6.
Nothing else comes close. This is not a vehicle to just cruise the shopping mall, it's a tool use it.

Gas mileage could be better, but it's a big truck in line with other big vehicles.
19 inch tires are hard to find and not a good selection for off road use.
Brakes need attention often.

If you need a tough vehicle that can take you to a night on the town and then on a remote outback adventure all in the same day, this is for you. It can carry seven people and tow up to 7700 pounds - best SUV/Truck available, hands down.

Durable. Has been very reliable and nicely counters the reputation many British made vehicles have suffered in the past.
Great on the highway and good mileage at highway speeds.

Mileage in town is terrible, but have to expect this.
Nav system could be better and needs iPod integration.
OEM tires are terrible in the snow - don't even try!

2005 Land Rover LR3 Review:
Land Rover is the most unreliable car on the market. Bought one off the lot at Land Rover for $40,000. Three years later it needed a new engine at the cost of $10,800. I asked the dealer what they would give me for it and they said $10,000 minus the cost of the repairs. So this $40,000 truck is worth -$800 3 years later?

Prior to that I had a Discovery which I bought from the dealer...over the course of three years it needed $11,000 worth of repairs and at the trade-in I got $3,000 for it....great resale value huh? Quality trucks? NOT...Land Rover is the biggest scam on the market!

Pros: What do you like about 2006 Land Rover LR3?
The nice mix of safety, comfort, luxury and performance in "of standard" driving condition. I like the modest way of presenting rough luxury in an all round vehicle like this. We love the configuration of flat floor when second and third row are down and theatre style setup when they are up.

Cons: How would you improve 2006 Land Rover LR3?
When you can choose the HSE option that has it all there is nothing more to ask for. The next would be the possibility to go amphibious. Gas mileage yes, but we just sold our V6 Explorer and do just as well, if not better, with the LR3.

Great looking, solid British utility. I have loved every minute of driving it for 4 years now. No problems other than recalls that were performed while in for oil changes. I only have 26k miles and look forward to owning this vehicle longer than any other I have driven.

Do not buy a land rover. The perception is Luxury Vehicle but the customer service and reliability is worse than the cheapest vehicles on the market. I have leased my LR3 and rest assured I will never purchase nor allow anyone I know to purchase a Land Rover.

Have gone through 3 sets of tires and only 53K miles on the vehicle, now need another set!
Should have better tire mileage. Also, had been in the shop more than any vehicle I have ever owned.

Pros: What do you like about 2007 LandRover LR3?
Highway confort and great space for our family of 5.

Cons: How would you improve 2007 LandRover LR3?
More horsepower, More rear cargo space, better gas milage and larger gas tank.

2007 LandRover LR3 Review:
We really love our LR3, it's great for family trips and off-road it's amazing. However, it needs better acceleraton, more cargo room, adjustable back-rests on second row and much better gas milage!!!
