Top 5 Pros of 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Top 5 Cons of 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Guide: 5=Perfect; 3=Good; 1=PoorPros: What do you like about 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
1. Sharp exterior design and incredible feeling of security in bad weather (heavy rain, snow) and superior forward lighting at night. Handles superior to our 01 Jeep GC, much more comfortable on highway trips.
2. Towing performance with 4.7L 300+ ft lbs of torque to pull our boat/trailer.
3. Interior is practical. X package great value with remote start, leather power front seats (would have preferred NO sunroof for tall driver to get 2 more in headroom however but not an option).
Cons: How would you improve 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
1. More rear legroom and comfort of seats. 3 adults is tight.
2. Improve mpg. E85 really not worth it even in midwest; no improvement since lose 20% mpg. However on side roads @ 60mph can easily get 22-24mpg w/reg gas, compared to 19-20mpg at 70mph freeway speeds. So Drive the speed limit & save, and be safer!
2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Review:
We have owned our 07 Jeep new since Oct 07 and are quite happy with it delivering what we needed. We typically have 2 adults occupying the heated leather front seats and pull our mid size boat 35 miles to the lake in the summer every other weekend.
In the winter we are dealing with frequent snow/ice on back country blacktop MN roads. The Jeep handles it all very well.
Other pros/cons are mentioned in those sections.
Be prepared to pay for extra gas on the small 4.7L V8 but it's worth it only slightly worse mpg than the V6 and 20% better around town than the 5.7L Hemi.
Quality so far has been very good with only one minor power window auto-up function requiring service in 23,000 miles. Jeeps do require frequent expensive differential & transfer case service on their rather old design drivetrain, important if you have the lifetime warranty options offered in 07-09 (dropped in 2010 models) - be prepared for $100 x 2 for the differentials at least every 30,000 miles IF you don't do water fording offroading and $300 more for the tranny/transaxle at 40,000 miles. These vehicles are tough and dependable however, and lately they have very attractive incentives on price.
Note a new design appears in 2011 but only an improved V6 and the hemi V8 are left for engines, pricing TBD.

Guide: 5=Perfect; 3=Good; 1=PoorPros: What do you like about 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
I love the versatility..The highway miles go by smootly and quickly!. Mine is a Hemi with every option except DVD which I think is a waste of money....The power is insane for a vehicle this size...The stereo is great (I work in the recording industry). But the amazing thing is the off road capabilities... Beyond the normal dirt roads is where this SUV comes into its own with Q-Drive 2...and DSC
Cons: How would you improve 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
The interior could be better... I wish there was less hard plastic (which the 09s finally adressed.... The seats are ALMOST really good... but the manual lumbar seems a step back from the previous incarnation... The passenger seat has less controls than the previous version.....
2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Review:
I bought out the lease on this car today for cash... I couldn't find anything that could match it. Some cars like the new VW tiguan are REALLY a lot of cash for what you get...and it's half the size...and it's no off roader like the Jeep . I have been lucky .. I have the Jeep that those of you out there that have lemons wished you had... this one has never had a problem!

Guide: 5=Perfect; 3=Good; 1=PoorPros: What do you like about 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
POWER - Plenty of it with the HEMI!
Cons: How would you improve 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
Electrical Problems, Plenty of them, hard to get some of the basic parts.
2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Review:
Good power, yet fragile.

Guide: 5=Perfect; 3=Good; 1=PoorPros: What do you like about 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
Back cargo area is good.
Cons: How would you improve 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
The ride is terrible. We thought the ride had improved in the new Jeep Grand Cherokee. It is awful. We are wondering if the shocks weren't put in right.
The speedometer is impossible to see during the day. The dial is red, dark, and thin and hard to see. Can't tell how fast we are going unless change it to digital.
The middle consul takes up so much room there is no place to put a purse and move the shift. There was no manual to tell us how to shift or how the 4 by 4 works and how to change the consul digital read out.
Haven't had it on a long trip. Feel every little bump - no shocks.
2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Review:
LOVED my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Do not like this one at all. Would never buy another.

Guide: 5=Perfect; 3=Good; 1=PoorPros: What do you like about 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
The body style, overall handling and power.
Cons: How would you improve 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
GERMAN TRANSMISSION!?!?! Why would you use a German Trans in an American Car...
Not MP3 ready.
Hard plastic panels.
Leather is not very durable.
2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Review:
I love Jeeps, my family has been driving them for over 30 years but I am thinking I am jumping off the bandwagon... These wk's have way too many mechanical issues... Jeep should be embarrassed... They took a proud heritage and flushed it down the toilets.

Guide: 5=Perfect; 3=Good; 1=PoorPros: What do you like about 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
The handling is good.
Easy to drive.
Cons: How would you improve 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
The visibility of the speedometer is awful. Sometimes when the sun is on the slanted glass cover, I can't see the speedometer at all. The thin red line of the dial is almost impossible to see during the day. It is more visible at night.
Thought they had improved the ride. It does not takes bumps any better or worse than our 2002 Grand Cherokee.

Guide: 5=Perfect; 3=Good; 1=PoorPros: What do you like about 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
Roomy in front seat.
Great Stereo.
ummmmmmm That's about all I liked about this.
Cons: How would you improve 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
This vehicle has been nothing but a money pit from day 1. If it can fail in a vehicle, it did in this vehicle. The brand of Grand Cherokee LTD is very deceiving.
Main computer failed, and I got hit with a $2700.00 bill for that.
Air conditioner never really got cold, so it was in the dealership 3 times for this. Never did get it working properly. Last time it was worked on there was something plugging a line and it leaked terribly under the passenger seat. Dealer was supposed to replace carpet in the vehicle as their mechanic cut the rug right back to the passenger seat and folded it back to find the problem. Replaced a small area of the front carpet, but PAINTED the rest of it. Had the car detailed, and when they tried to clean the carpet the paint lifted off and left a huge mess in the vehicle. Now we have no interior lights as there is a problem in the wiring. Quoted 3-4 thousand dollars to re-wire the vehicle. Self dimming rear view mirror never worked, nor did the driver mirror.
I am leaving this vehicle parked at the curb with the keys in the ignition, and wish the poor fool that takes this vehicle better luck than we have had with it.
2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee Review:
Why these vehicles are even allowed on the road is beyond me. I will never ever buy another Chrysler, or Dodge product again.
I think they call this a Jeep, because this supposedly separates this vehicle from the problems that Dodge is having.
I guess it's live and learn.

Guide: 5=Perfect; 3=Good; 1=PoorPros: What do you like about 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
The new Cherokee has some great new features; from the key less start and entry to the more luxurious interior that use to be less then desirable on the older models. All in all great power and love the look and feel of it.
Cons: How would you improve 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
Wish it had a 6 speed and got better fuel mileage.

Guide: 5=Perfect; 3=Good; 1=PoorPros: What do you like about 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
The 5.7l Hemi is fantastic!
Great on and off road.
Cons: How would you improve 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
Constant electrical problems: air bag light, check engine light, spare tire pressure, memory function have all had repeated issues that the dealer can't fix.
Moldy order coming from ventilation system. Dealer hasn't been able to fix this either. On their last repair attempt the dealership managed to break a piece of plastic off the dash and for some reason cut a 1 inch square out of the carpet on the drivers side floor.
Leather on steering wheel wore through at less than 30K miles, and drivers seat has multiple cracks in the leather.
2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Review:
Stylish, powerful and very capable on and off road, I'd like to say that I am a fan of the Jeep Grand Cherokee, but unfortunately I am not. The constant electrical issues, poor dealer repair efforts and poor build quality have convinced me that this (my third Jeep vehicle) will be the last Jeep I ever own.

Guide: 5=Perfect; 3=Good; 1=PoorPros: What do you like about 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
Driver seat comfort (an improvement over past year's models); comfortable enough for travel.
Cons: How would you improve 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
Do not like the obstructed view from the grab bars in the front and the headrests in back seat.
Back seat uncomfortable.
Do something to lessen the "rocking back/forth".
Has a tendency to "dip" in the front when hitting bumps.
2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Review:
On/off since brand new, the passing gear bogs down at times and doesn't give you the power to pass. Narrowly avoided wrecks from this. Dealership "can't duplicate the problem"; so it's never been resolved.
ABS brakes began squealing after a year or so (dealership always claims it's just the type of brakes they are and they don't need replaced). Yet in rain or the least bit of moisture for the past year or so, they grab, lock up and cause skidding. Over the weekend in rainy conditions, they locked up, caused me to lose control and I spun around 3 times completely on a busy highway, narrowly having/causing a bad wreck.
Bought it new and paint began coming off of front bumper during a hand car-wash after owning less than a year. Dealership refused to fix because it was "cosmetic" and I had higher than usual miles on it.
Am on my 3rd radio/cd player. CD's get stuck in them and they lose power completely at times. This 3rd one is working out so far.
Lights flicker on/off and dim/brighten on their own on the dash, radio, etc.
Have purchased new/driven only jeeps for the past 20 years, but will never buy another one. There's got to be something better out there! Dealership can never "duplicate" the problem; meaning problems never get resolved... even after paying $50 more a month extra for an "extended warranty"... what happened to JEEP? The first 2 I had were great!
