I have had my car in the shop 3 or 4 times for the same thing. It is stalling or hesitating when I go to put the car in gear to go forward and reverse. The dealership says that there is nothing wrong with it.

Also, the alarm goes off a lot for no reason. This car is still under warranty.

I would not buy another one. I went on line and others seem to be having the same problems that I am having.

I own the basic model, yes it may have manual windows, buy it has a lot of power for being such a little car and engine. The gas tank never seams to become empty.

The basic model should have power everything. Also a little bit more power.

I love to drive this car to school and work. It has fun little features and overall just great.

Pros: What do you like about 2009 Hyundai Accent?
There's a lot to like. It has the basics down....attractive lines, good fuel economy, spacious interior, nice fabrics, great warranty and features. It comes with 3 months free satellite radio. On top of that it's a blast to drive. The SE comes with 16" alloy wheels and a B&M short-shifter, and stiffer sport-tuned suspension. Leather wrapped wheel and shifter. The AEM intake is an option, which I recommend for a little more power and sporty sound. It's surprisingly gutsy and fun with the 5 speed manual, and pretty grippy as well. This car feels and sounds solid....not cheap.

Cons: How would you improve 2009 Hyundai Accent?
I think they could add blue-tooth and a USB port. There is an aux jack already. It can be tricky getting the car into reverse, especially when cold.

2009 Hyundai Accent Review:
I love this car, and have no regrets about not getting the Kia Soul, VW Rabbit, Suzuki SX4, Yaris or Mazda3. I wouldn't trade it for any of those cars, even though they cost more.

Larger engine with more low end torque.

Fun little car. Great for commuting and very comfortable.
