Has a real good ride.
I like the way it takes off - motor is quiet.
Have't notice anything about the oil.

Excessive oil consumption. 1 quart in 4000 miles! (I think all Pilots may do this but owners don't check between changes and mechanics don't check before draining.)
Wore out 2 front tires in 13,000 miles.
Front Headrests intrusive.
Outside thermometer not very responsive.

My Pilot has 16,000 miles on it and the oil consumption problem has not improved. It is a lease and I feel that I shouldn't buy it at the end of the lease because of this.

Overall, the Honda is a great car.

With only 20,000 miles, the oil consumption is 1 quart per 1,000 miles with the possibility of getting worse with age. I am told this is "normal" oil consumption. THIS IS UN-ACCEPTABLE.

The ride is smooth.
The sound system is very good, specially the subwoofer.

Interior material looks cheap and scratches easily.

I just bought a 09 silver Pilot. I'm impressed with it so far. It's roomy, great for a family. Great gas mileage. It's a comfortabe seating vehicle and has plenty of power for going up mountain passes. I love it. It has a unique sleek look. It looks great. Don't get a CRV - no room and not enough power. I got a 09 exl for 31500 with only 8 miles. And they threw in the rubber mats and a full tank of gas too. Jim V. MAPLE VALLEY WA

Gone from a Tahoe to Pilot Touring.
Pilot is more lively than Tahoe and mileage is better, but not a lot.
The sound system and Navigation system are very good.
Love the Blue Tooth feature.
The voice recognition system works better than Tahoe's.
I like the fold down third row seats, have comparable cargo space to Tahoe with option of extra seating.
Impressed with Honda dealership so far.

Interior styling; it looks and feels cheap. My dash popped out first month and had to be replaced under warranty.
The transmission is jumpy and not smooth at low speeds but does fine on highway.

Overall, a good value for a loaded SUV and safety ratings are impressive though I hope I don't need them. Need to upgrade the interior, too much plastic and I'm not confident its going to wear well.

LOVE THE ROOM AND THE DASH INSTRUMENTS.

BETTER PLASTIC INSIDE. INTERIOR LOOKS A LITTLE CHEESY.
