2009 Ford Ranger

Pros: What do you like about 2009 Ford Ranger?
The 09 Ex cab is a nice little truck for the parking and it has nice little power to it.

Cons: How would you improve 2009 Ford Ranger?
So far I have had to replace water pump and now currently waiting to get it replaced AGAIN. And also body is starting to rust already.

2009 Ford Ranger Review:
I will never buy a Ford again. This was my first and last. Horrible just horrible. Also over priced for this junk no offence anyone this is a brutal truck nothing but problems and also bought it new.

Good fuel mileage [4cyl.].

Cons: How would you improve 2009 Ford Ranger?
Rides rougher than my '90 model- plus Ford stopped putting rear inner fender liners in these trucks- truck currently has 13,000 miles and needs several hundred dollars in body work on the top of the bed rails and the bed sides behind the rear wheels. Ford denies a problem- I wasn't told not to buy this truck if you live on a gravel road. Would NOT buy another ford - they deny there is a problem in this area and they know better.

Would love to hear from other Ford ranger owners if they have had this problem.

Pros: What do you like about 2009 Ford Ranger?
Fun to drive, easy access cargo bed, easy to park, so far everything is great.
4 door model is great, 2 door model is really cramped in the cab area although the 7 foot box is nice.

Cons: How would you improve 2009 Ford Ranger?
Lower gear ratio for better pulling, side door pockets like the rear doors have.
Gas mileage could be better on the 4 litre engine, it's about the same as my F150.
A 7 foot box would be nice on the 4 door Sport.

2009 Ford Ranger Review:
If you are towing a trailer and have to move it around at lower speeds like in a construction area do not get a standard transmission go with the automatic. 4x2 is o.k. but perhaps the 4x4 would be better for trailering. Aside from that, it's a great little service truck.

Great basic truck in which simplicity saves money (manual rolling down windows, non-electric locks etc) less could go wrong.

Cons: How would you improve 2009 Ford Ranger?
Lower the price, although still a good deal in today's market.

I like having a basic truck, I traded a Silverado for my Ranger and it was the right choice to make. It is easier on gas and still hauls a good load when needed. Easier parking and great for short runs also. I have had a lot of good comments about the looks and finish of this truck.

Cons: How would you improve 2009 Ford Ranger?
Could have better seats. Eg, more adjustments that's all. It is still a great truck.

Oh, and they could have enclosed the wheel wells better for protection from snow and salt, but I am getting it undercoated so hope that works.

If you do not like change this is the perfect vehicle. The bugs have been worked out through the many years of production.
