2009 Ford Edge

Pros: What do you like about 2009 Ford Edge?
1. Styling.
2. Comfort.
3. Highway cruising manners.
4. Panoramic moon roof.
5. Excellent in winter driving when snow tires are used.
6. Heater and A/C are responsive.

Cons: How would you improve 2009 Ford Edge?
1. Reliability - PTU leaks (fixed twice) always has problems in winter, defective front bearing, defective pitch and knaw sensor, car felt like pulling to one side.
2. Transmission - sometimes it seems to hesitate to accelerate, and then boom it does. Shifting is not consistent - maybe because of PTU leak. It did seem to shift better after repair.
3.Interior is very plain for an car with a sticker price of $47,000 Can. Everything is plastic.
4. Could use a little more engine power to justify the Sport badging.
4. Though other models has the side mirror defroster, they took it out on this level of Sport Model and becomes part of another option.
5. Sport model is basically upgraded wheels, sport suspension and looks - engine is the same as other models.
6. After 2 years, there appears to be more rattles and noises in the interior. Doubts whether the vehicle will be reliable after warranty period.
7. Brake fades and braking performance could be improved.

2009 Ford Edge Review:
Nice highway cruising vehicle. I find it is sometimes difficult to maneuver in tight parking spots and streets and you don't have a good feel of surroundings when sitting in the driver seat.

Though it has a big body, the rear cargo space is no larger than the 2003 Toyota Highlander I had. Doors and panels are thick and heavy. Rear and side view visibility are not great.
