Pros: What do you like about 2010 Cadillac SRX?
Good sized suv, very stylish and well finished inside and out.

Lots of handy gadgets, nice shuttle lighting of instruments, lots of stowing areas and compartments, comfortable seats and ride.

One of the few vehicles out there with a flat folding rear seat, not angled like most.

Great sound system and panoramic sunroof.

Adjustable and power tailgate height is a good feature.

Cons: How would you improve 2010 Cadillac SRX?
A rear view camera as standard would be great, only available with the navigation package at a hefty price. It's a great safety feature that should be standard on all cars.

And I'd like to see more options in exterior colors.

2010 Cadillac SRX Review:
I only took it for a test drive but I found it to be much to my liking in ride, comfort, handling, very quiet, and the 3 liter v6 seemed plenty powerful to move it around (for the weight of this suv).

Being vertically challenged at 5'6", it's easy enough to get in and out. After looking at many suv's of this price and caliber, I'm seriously considering this suv as my next vehicle.

Add Memory Tilt & Telescope Position for Steering Wheel.
Add More Sound-Proofing Material.
Okay, a Larger Glovebox would be nice, but let's not quibble.
A Larger Center Console Storage Bin would be nice, too.

2006 Cadillac SRX Review:
I acquired a 2006 SRX a few days ago as a used (excuse me, 'preowned') car. After spending many weeks searching for the 'perfect' SRX on AutoTrader.com, I live in Atlanta and found my cream-puff SRX at a GM dealer in Tennessee: 43k miles, 1-owner Florida lease car, clear CarFax, every conceivable option except NAV, pearl white with tan leather, premium performance package, OnStar, XM, etc. Wowee!

Anyway, I digress... This is an awesome machine! It strikes a very nice balance between utility and sport sedan-like performance. I wanted 7-passenger capacity for those occasional times when extra friends need a lift. The exterior styling is aggressive and I think it's even more in style in 2009 than 3 years ago. The leather interior is luxurious and very comfortable for my 6'2" frame, plus seat adjustment range is excellent. I am especially impressed with the sophisticated personalized driver interface, making nearly every electronic feature programmable to suit your whims (it's taking me days to customize all the various user functions).

Mechanically, the SRX is solidly built and nothing on it seems cheaply made. The UltraView sunroof is awesome, and it's a treat to see so much sky. On a less positive note, the 3rd row seats are difficult to get into, and it requires gymnastic agility. Luckily, I won't ever have to sit back there. On the plus side, the 3rd row has its own sunroof glass with power shade! This is a sweet SUV and it's a blast to drive. Get this car.

The 2010 Cadillac SRX might carry a familiar name, but it's got an all-new look that TheCarConnection.com finds to be polarizing, though not without its merits. While the exterior strikes a bold, some would say overwrought, stance, the interior scores major points with automotive experts for its level of detail and refinement and should impress all who find their way inside the new SRX Cadillac.

Cadillac's latest entry in the hugely competitive crossover segment is the Cadillac SRX, a five-passenger vehicle for which Car and Driver says "three trim levels are available: Luxury, Performance, and Premium." For the 2010 Cadillac SRX, Cadillac's designers have thoroughly revised the entire vehicle, and Car and Driver reports that "length is down by 4.6 inches, height by 2.1 inches, and wheelbase by 5.9 inches" in order to better combat the segment leader, the Lexus RX 350. It drives very well on the freeway and everyday driving.
The seats are very comfortable on long trips.
The sound system is excellent - couldn't be any better.
Overall a very good car. I would do it all over again.

Can't rotate tires (two different sizes).
Very expensive oil changes.
Small Small 3rd row seat.
Wish I would have gotten the sunroof.
Had to replace the battery - very expensive.

2007 Cadillac SRX Review:
My Cadillac SRX is a very good car. It rides very well. My primary reason for getting the SRX is because I thought that the Escalade was too big. Very bad mistake, wish I would have gotten one. The third row seat is small - can't have 7 people and their luggage not enough room. Very comfortable on long trips.

Very bad blind spots on both left and right side. Have been in some dangerous situation when trying to merge into lanes. You truly cannot see another vehicle when it's coming up beside you. Better engine performance when you accelerate quickly. The headlights when on low beam you can barely see the road again poor visual when you're on wet roads or low lit roads.

Nice ride but truly don't feel that safe driving it at night
or on the interstate. Have owned it for only 9 months and want to trade.

Pretty much everything.
Wish the rear cargo area was wider, it scoops in toward the back of the 2nd seat. I haul lots of stuff so that would be nicer.

Cons: How would you improve 2006 Cadillac SRX?
Widening the cargo area and lengthening it slightly. Apparently Cadillac didn't agree as the 2010 SRX is shorter! I had one for a loaner while having some warranty work done. The new ones are awful! They are just a Saturn VUE with a $20K more price tag. The ones we have are FAR FAR better! Hope they redesign it soon and dump the current "dumpy lumpy' looking one and the FWD platform. RWD is best! Mine has AWD!

2006 Cadillac SRX Review:
I noticed some people mentioned oil consumption. Mine has the 3.6 V6. Adding oil every three months as someone mentioned above is nothing to even slightly gripe about- unless it only has been driven 500 miles! I am an auto collector/restorer so here's the deal folks- I change oil only twice a year which is all you need to do running synthetic oil these days. I average about 6-7000 miles on each oil change. I dump a quart in around 3000 miles. That's normal folks. Seriously. Some cars may not use any but that is probably rare...I previously had an STS with the 4.6 Northstar and that did use oil- about a quart every 1200 miles but that was in spec with Cadillac and everyone on the Cadillac Forums for the STS's said it was also normal. I ran it to 180K and it used the same amount of oil from factory delivery to the day I sold it. So it was consistent! Check the oil and add some and quit your griping!

I have a 2006 srx 3.6 liter and the only thing we have problems with is that it burns oil constantly.
Incredible ride but very disappointed in its oil consumption.

Too many problems, rear seal on differential was recalled, was very dangerous for me, almost had a serious accident, problems with it burning oil, timing chain, and now in shop for a serious and similar issue with engine 3000 miles later.

I am used to foreign car service, Volvo, which is far far superior to Cadillac. Plus they closed the dealer near me, even worse service now. The dealer service people are nice but I think overwhelmed...

Great car in many ways, but mileage is obviously lower than I like..
Main issue ... not reliable, and dealer service is unacceptable for an expensive car and well below what competitive car brands offer.
