Pros: What do you like about 2008 Subaru Impreza?
AWD.

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Subaru Impreza?
Improve body integrity. Although the drive train is OK, the body sucks. The plastic fenders and bumpers are held together by fasteners that break at the least provocation.

The fenders and plastic wheel wells cannot handle traveling through snow and break apart when they become packed with snow. Undercarriage parts dislodge in highway driving as a reaction to increased air pressure at speeds over 60 mph.

2008 Subaru Impreza Review:
For a car that is supposed to be an outstanding rally winner (the STI is a hot Imprezza), the 2008 Imprezza body can't even handle a country road. A piece of crap.

Everything. I was on the market for a Suzuki SX4, but the salesman convinced me to try the Impreza instead. When I reached 1 year using it I called the salesman back to thank him. I'm very happy with it.

Maybe better mileage, but I was warned, you can't compare AWD vs Front wheel drive. You have to give up something. As the matter of fact, I get 29 MPG combined, every day use.

Not an eye catcher, but once you get you hands on it, you'll get to love it. 1 year, 20,000 miles and I only been to the shop for scheduled services.

A great value for the money. Car magazine reviews were brutal and not accurate in my opinion. This is an awesome car.

Performance. Comfort. Better gas mileage than STI.

Factory Ski rack is hideously noisy. Even has a disclaimer on it. A skier's nightmare. Engine noise also a wee bit noisy.

I've owned my 08 WRX for 4 months now and i'm sure i made the right choice. Sure it's not the best looking sport compact but the looks definetly grow on you. trust me, it looks way better in person, especially in motion.

2008 Subaru Impreza Review:
I also own an 05 WRX and 99 LS-1 Corvette. The 08 impreza (non turbo) is a great fun smooth riding car. The new double wishbone suspension gives Honda Accord like Ride (ie smooth, quiet) but where as the 02 through 07 Imprezas the driver and car feel as one, the 08 feels isolated from the driver like a 1995 Delta 88 or something. I prefer the older car had Mcpherson Struts. The new one has wishbones preventing it from ever being a true impreza or WRX or even an STI. Kinda a shame.
