2008 Nissan Maxima

Pros: What do you like about 2008 Nissan Maxima?
Roomy.
Started off with smooth ride.
Got plenty of power when accelerating.
Regular maintenance program purchased the regular gold 72 months or 75000 miles.
Good gas mileage for a v6.
Big trunk space.

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Nissan Maxima?
Automated power locks after car driven on road not available.
Mechanic cannot find reason car jerks when start to accelerate after adjusted throttle. No jerk once higher speed is obtained.
After recent maintenance wheel bearings or something in tire making large growling sounds in front wheel.
We had problems with side mirrors got stuck and it took over a year before the mechanic replaced it cause he claimed did not stuck when he checked it.
Owned 97 Nissan and its not giving as much problems w/transmission.
On side roads, ride is like the Sentra because the tires are low profile and ride is not what I would expect on luxury car since we pay over $10000 more than a Sentra.
My older Nissan had a opening in backseat so we could fit a fishing pole in the trunk...the 08 I have to pull the whole left or right seat down instead of a small partition covering a hole.

2008 Nissan Maxima Review:
Like the power of the v6 and cvt smooth ride when not having transmission or tire related problems. Hope to resolve these problems soon because I really like Nissans. Owned Nissans & Datsuns since the seventies and had no real problems on transmission till now.

Great engine.
Roomy back seat.
Wonderful heated steering wheel.
Great headlights.

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Nissan Maxima?
Fit and finish concerns on the dash.
Huge turning radius.
Smart key option did allow my keys to lock in car (the lock on door was not fully in lock position but was enough to lock door, smart key didn't sense it locked).
CVT pauses off the line under quick acceleration.

2008 Nissan Maxima Review:
Not as good handling and build quality as my previous '00 and '03 Maximas but ride is smoother. Lots of room. Smooth, responsive, and reliable engine.

IT HAS A SMOOTH RIDE, ALSO I LIKE THAT THE CAR WOULD NOT LOCK IF THE KEY IS STILL INSIDE :)

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Nissan Maxima?
MY CAR IS ABOUT 62000 MILES JUST PASSED THE 60000 MILE WARRANTY AND THE CAR GETS STUCK. I PARK AND CANNOT SHIFT INTO REVERSE OR DRIVE. I TOOK IT TO THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP AND THEY WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE PROBLEM. I HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING THIS PROBLEM FOR THE LAST 3 MONTHS AND THE DEALERSHIP STATED THE ONLY WAY THEY CAN FIX IT IS IF THE PROBLEM HAPPENS WHILE AT THE DEALERSHIP, SO IN OTHER WORDS I JUST NEED TO DEAL WITH IT OR DROP MY CAR OFF FOR A FEW DAYS AND BE WITHOUT TRANSPORTATION.

The car runs great.
I have nothing but good things to say about the car.

All Maxima should come with the heated steering wheel and leather seats.

2008 Nissan Maxima Review:
I have had my Maxima for two years and I am happy so far. I had a couple of problems with needing a new censor and I had to leave my car one time because the dealership knew what the problem was but had to find where the small leak was coming from. I had my second inspection done and my car passed with no problems and than 2 weeks later, my service engine light came on and than another two weeks the light came on again. A month went by and the light is on again.
