| Pros: What do you like about 2008 Mazda Tribute? I have had my new 2008 i touring 2WD Tribute for about 2 weeks, my favorite feature is the upgraded 6-CD stereo system. I also added the satellite system. The sound is like being in a concert. It handles very good, and the seats are very comfortable. The body style is updated and very stylish. Plenty of room for passengers. Cons: How would you improve 2008 Mazda Tribute? The very first thing I would change is having the emergency brake on the console instead of having to push it with your foot. It seems to be out of place because when you release the emergency break your face is almost flush with the stearing wheel. It took me all of 1 hour to realize this needs to be corrected. I purchased the 4 cyl, I did not expect a lot of power and I was right. However, I choose this because of the gas mileage. I get about 23-24 mpg in the city. The other factor I don't like is the diming of the lights, you push out to brighten lights and pull in to dim. It is a lot safer and easier to pull inward to do both. All my cars have been like that. Maybe it is that I may not be use to this feature yet. The other is a big one. The color choices for the interior colors are not attractive. The two tones don't seem to match the color scheme's. The Mazda company needs to hire a new interior designer for interior colors and choices. 2008 Mazda Tribute Review: Overall, I love my new 2008 i touring Tribute. I have the blue spark color and love it. Very updated, very easy handling. The standard features on the Tribute, you pay extra on other small to mid-size SUV's. I test drove about 9-10 small to mid-size SUV's. I drove the Mazda Tribute for about 3 hours, and the dealer let me take it home and I really gave it a good test drive. Mazda did a great job with the Tribute and I will bet it will be one of the most popular of the new SUV's. |

| Pros: What do you like about 2008 Mazda Tribute? I love the styling. This suv has caught many of my friend's eyes. It drives great and is super comfy. The interior layout is really convenient and stylish. To me, the Tribute is a big improvement over my Jeep Liberty that I traded. Cons: How would you improve 2008 Mazda Tribute? I would give it just a little more get up and go. It accelerates fine for me, but with the 4 cyl. I sometimes have to push it to pass on the freeway. I would also add audio presets to the stereo. Other than that, the only other thing I can think of is gas mileage. This is an suv though and even though it's a smaller one, I knew I wouldn't get like 40 mpg's when I bought it. 2008 Mazda Tribute Review: I bought my 08 Tribute about 5 months ago when it first came out. I didn't even intend to get one and the whole experience was a totaly fluke. I've found this to be a terrific suv for the city, suburbs, and back roads. It doesn't guzzle gas anywhere near as bad as my Jeep Liberty and is much comfier. The best part is that I always have fun driving it. My best friend/roommate is always bugging me to hand her the keys and let her drive too. I feel like I got alot for my money and get a sporty driving experiencce in an suv package. Its just sad that I don't see many of them on the road. Everyone seems to be going for the Escape and Mariner.
Recently, I drove my Tribute from Phoenix, AZ to Chicago, IL and it did great. We averaged 360-400 miles per tank and it never costs more than $40 to fill the tank with gas prices at $3.00/gal. The best part is that we drove straight through without really stopping and with the seats folded flat in the back, we were able to take turns driving while the other napped. I couldn't believe there was that much space with luggage, etc.
I purchased the base model 2wd and am very pleased. I have a feeling this car will last me a long time and I have no plans at all to part with it any time soon. I'm curious to see how it will handle the IL winter before I head back to Arizona. This Mazda is something I would definately recommend to anyone looking for a small suv. |

| Pros: What do you like about 2008 Mazda Tribute? Just about everything. Could improve emergency brake location. Cons: How would you improve 2008 Mazda Tribute? Cold weather makes gas pedal stick. Second time to the garage. Works for awhile then starts all over again. 2008 Mazda Tribute Review: A good buy for the money. |

| Pros: What do you like about 2008 Mazda Tribute? Interior is comfy. Cons: How would you improve 2008 Mazda Tribute? Noisy, Noisy, Noisy. Bad wipers, can't buy new wipers anywhere. Bad radio reception. Gas guzzler. Crappy tires. |

| Pros: What do you like about 2008 Mazda Tribute? Everything.. Cons: How would you improve 2008 Mazda Tribute? Just a little less engine noise, otherwise do not change a thing 2008 Mazda Tribute Review: 1st ever purchase of an import. Have been a GM person my whole life. Still driving a 1996 Chevy K1500 but will never buy another "GM" car. Truck yes, car no. |

| Pros: What do you like about 2008 Mazda Tribute? Looks, handling, interior, economy (overall avg 28.5 for 5 k mi), space, 2.3L engine, quiet Cons: How would you improve 2008 Mazda Tribute? hand brake, more provision for hanging clothes, better oem tires 2008 Mazda Tribute Review: I'm amazed with the fuel economy (5spd: 28.5 mpg overall with mixed highway/city driving--high 33.11 mpg low 25.5). It handles well, it's quiet, rides well, it looks good. A steal at $17k! |

| Pros: What do you like about 2008 Mazda Tribute? looks, fuel economy, handling, ride, interior, value Cons: How would you improve 2008 Mazda Tribute? lose foot brake, add hooks for hanging clothes 2008 Mazda Tribute Review: Am delighted with the Tribute 2.3L with 5spd (mpg avg for 2500 mi=28.0). It handles and rides very well. The exterior design is simple elegance and the interior is interesting with comfortable seats and color combinations. The inclusion of stability control, traction control, and side curtain air bags are good safety features.
I think this is a great looking, handling, and efficient small SUV. |
