Radio electronics are a bit out of character by being very complicated.
Lack of small emergency spare tire.
The simpler, the cheaper, the more fun.

Great MPG.
Twice-pipes in rear.
Colors especially red (copper).

Better grill.
Almost all Miata drivers like the old tail lights.
Interval wipers.
Redesign console/cup holders.
Convert the indentation and front of console to tray with lid.
Outside temp and/or compass on rear view mirror would be nice feature.

Sporty looks (though not deafening), inexpensive and the most fun car to drive. Quality workmanship and engineering keep it out of the shop. I can dream of BMW roadsters and Maserati racers but I'm happy every day with my Miata. If you're not having fun in a Miata, we don't know how to drive.

A true sports car. I love everything about it. I have a sport model, 5-speed with A/C Getting 30 MPG all the time.

"Concave" the inner door panels for more space.

rear view mirror with outside temp and n/e/s/w/ directions.
the middle storage area is hampered by a low hanging catch so that you can't close it if you have anything higher then the cupholder sides. the sliding lid needs revamping.
Also the need to use Premium fuel--IN A 4 cyl car that has only 166hp. Come on now!
I did not know this till my 1st fill-up. Yikes!!!

Peppy car, fun to drive. Grand Touring Hardtop convertable gives you the best of both worlds.

2008 Miata Driver seat SUCKS! Get rid of the height adjustment! or re-design it). Bar in left edge of seat really hurts after an 1/2 hour of sitting. Seats without the height adjustment are confortable. Mazda needs to recall with a fix for the seat problem.

Everthing about this car is great for the price. Love the Hard top convertable feature. Rag tops has a cross-member over your head, Hardtops do not. Hardtops has more headroom.

I was wondering about the potential use of space in the doors between the exterior metal skin and the interior door panel where the arm rest is. I think the arm rest should have had a flip up access where you could put things like pens glasses or maps. the manual parking brake handle should be removed and a foot peddle should be used instead. the door bottle holder area should be redesigned for another use; like a flip out storage bin. if something like that was done to the interior door panel i would probably buy them and replace the existing ones just for a little more space. How about placing the front plate below the grill?

Get a life. The cup holders in the doors and console are just fine. She's a specialty car for those who want a sports carand lets hope Mazda keeps putting the money into quality instead of advertising.
