2006 Lincoln Town Car Review:
I'm 25 and I've owned 4 Lincoln Town Cars so far, I love them. This particular one has awesome handling, a slightly improved engine, and much better styling than the previous generation. It is a shame Ford is stopping production on such a great car.

I don't understand why some people complain about horrible gas mileage on a car that weighs as much as this one, and has a v8. I'll take my lower gas mileage happily as long as the car can fit 6 adults and still accelerate at close to the same rate as empty. My Passat was worthless with more than two in the car, my Honda was the same (both 4 cylinders). My Infiniti QX4 had horrific gas mileage (stock 17 highway) in a v6, I got close to 10 in the city. In the Town car I get 16 mostly city. On the highway I get 24 (if it is mountainous like I380) and 26 on straight highways, that's cruising at 75.

The car handles great and I can't stress how comfortable it is to drive. For someone who has taken many 1000 mile and up road trips, the town car is the only car I can drive for 15 hours straight without getting tired and uncomfortable, once you sink into the seat, it's like sitting in a lay-z-boy.

Pros: What do you like about 2005 Lincoln Town Car?
Everything pretty much. From the serious classy style and super reliable engine to the great MPG due to its size. Comfort to all riders and the silence is a given on Lincoln Town Cars . This is my second TC and will continue to own it for years to come. My other TC (1996) has 215 K miles and still looks beautiful and rides like new. Awesome car!

Cons: How would you improve 2005 Lincoln Town Car?
The trunk design as stated by other owners. Now, looking at the review from the site it makes me laugh how they site "reliability" as a Cons . Also laughable is the call for more "sporty" handling. They seem to forget that the Lincoln Town Car is a big luxury Sedan and is not designed for so called fun rides as a sport car. My guess the guy making the review must be in his 20's and is a fun of VW's or Mazdas. Nothing wrong with that but please do not compare a Lincon TC with a sports car! When I bought my TC's I wasn't thinking of sporty car handling!

2005 Lincoln Town Car Review:
At the end of the day, this is the best deal as far as luxury American Sedans. Solid and reliable engine, aligned with cheap maintenance, comfort and style! MPG also beats any competitor by far!

Overall these car are awesome. Minimal trouble just regular maintenance.
I hope they keep making these cars as I would definitely will keep but them.

The 2006 Lincoln Towncar Presidential is a heavy car. It has great sound, no road sound, no wind sound, very smooth ride, great space, the amenities abound. I love my car.

2009 Lincoln Town Car Review:
I cannot believe Ford is thinking about discontinuing the Town Car. I do like the new Lincoln lineup with all the cool letters and new designs. But the Town Car is THE car in luxury livery business. Ford is going to get really hurt in sales because of this.

We are thinking of switching our entire fleet to Cadillac after the lease expires.

Just about everything. It's just so beautiful.
Only thing I would change is the sun visors, like the ones on the 91 Continental we had a long time ago, covered the entire top of windshield. Don't know why they did away with it. Was not on the 99 Continental we also had.
The 2006 captures the eye of everyone that looks at it.

Only the sun visions should cover the top of the windshield like the older Lincolns.

Love it overall, can't find anything wrong. Hope Ford is smart enough to keep it for folks like me.

Only two real cars left Lincoln Town Car and the big Mercury. Putting a Lincoln Grill on a Fusion do not make a Lincoln. Watch TV and see all the Town Cars used for the wealthy people.

The President's Caddy cannot compare to the Lincolns used by previous presidents.

Poor leg room for a tall driver.
Interior sunvisors keep breaking vanity mirror cover, busting off the base leaving the vanity light on to drain car battery.
Come on guys $44,000.00 car can't give people durable plastic.
Also poor overall gas mileage - 16mpg around town.

Own a 2005, am in love and obsessed with this car. That grille will eat your lunch...you can not deny that this car is elegant, regal, and opulent..YOU CAN NOT DENY THAT..PERIOD. So it's not a corvette...but hopefully Ford will continue the tradition..
