| Pros: What do you like about 2008 Jeep Liberty? The new exterior look for 2008 is an improvement. Decent range. The overall size is about right, not too big yet not too small. It's a Jeep. Cons: How would you improve 2008 Jeep Liberty? The defrost is terrible...they should really do a recall on it. When it is cold and icy out, the best it can do on max hot is defrost the center 2/3 of the windshield. The oil filter is in a ridiculous spot (you can't even see it from above or below). Dash interferes with legs (too close to shin). Engine sounds like a diesel and the performance and MPG do not compare well to other SUVs. Hill-start feature is annoying at best, and certainly not needed on a model that will no longer have a manual transmission option starting in 2009. 2008 Jeep Liberty Review: While the 2008 Jeep Liberty was the best option for our family at the time of purchase and its shortcomings are few, the shortcomings it does have are unforgivable. I would not recommend to others unless they fix the defrost and legroom issues. The other cons are annoying but I can live with them and they probably won't bother most. |

| Pros: What do you like about 2008 Jeep Liberty? I love the styling, the manual trans is fun and not too common on SUVs nowadays. It handles alright and is pretty comfortable as a daily driver. The interior is really nice, classy and not overdone. I got the upgraded A/T tires and they were great during a pretty rough winter and pretty good off road. Doesn't feel fragile on bumpy logging roads. Lots of upgrades available. Towing capacity seems impressive though I haven't tried hauling yet. The AC power outlet is nice. GREAT turning radius. Cons: How would you improve 2008 Jeep Liberty? I don't know why Chrysler offers the 4.0L on the Nitro but it's not an option for the mechanically identical Liberty. The 3.7L isn't slow but it could use some more kick considering it's pretty heavy. And I know it's a truck-like SUV but I still think gas mileage has room for improvement.
The manual shows how to disable the ESP in 4wd but it would be nice to hav the same option for 2wd. Disabling traction control would be a nice option too. Diff lock would be nice.
Here's a good one, BETTER WINDSHIELD DEFROSTER!! This last winter was cold and with defrost on hot max with A/C it could just barely keep all but the middle of the windsield from freezing. Not impressive.
Very little leg room for driver. Nowhere to rest foot beside clutch or stretch legs on a long drive or to mount a brake controller unit.
The manual transmission isn't the smoothest and unfortunately isn't available on the Limited. Very squeaky clutch pedal, I'm on my second one with only 16,000km. Mine suddenly started making a loud whining noise from the A/C clutch and two dealers already don't care. Chrysler's customer service since the day I bought it has been embarrassing and very disappointing at best. 2008 Jeep Liberty Review: Overall I love my liberty. There really isn't much out there quite like it. If only Chrysler would take the time to care and refine this already great and fun truck it would really top the competition. Come on Chrysler, you're so close to having an amazing SUV, you can do it!! |

| Pros: What do you like about 2008 Jeep Liberty? The seating is comfortable. With the exception of the passenger seat, VERY roomy. Manual trasmission comes with a 6 speed...although I am still nervous when I use the sixth gear because I am alway afraid I will put it in 4th gear instead. Back seats fold down easily to make more room. Cons: How would you improve 2008 Jeep Liberty? My Liberty is a manual trasmission, and I wish there were more room on the left side of the clutch to put my foot. There are 2 cup holders in the center console, which is great...but there is no place for other things like cell phones. The passenger seat is a little less roomy. If you are tall, your knees will hit the grab bar. 2008 Jeep Liberty Review: There are really few things I would change about my Liberty. Recently I have had to take it in to the service shop. It seems that the glue they used to secure the wiring in the head liner is conductive and was somehow shorting out to the frame of the car causing my Jeep to drain the battery. Other than that, 4 wheel drive works great, it did supurb on the winter roads, even when we weren't using 4 wheel drive the traction control kicks in when needed. My family of 5 (one a teenage boy) fits great in the Jeep, not cramped at all. Overall, would not trade it for any other vehicle. |

| Pros: What do you like about 2008 Jeep Liberty? Classic Jeep Look Ample leg room rear seating A/C power outlet 6 speed manual transmission Ample storage with rear seats folded down Cons: How would you improve 2008 Jeep Liberty? Shake in the transmission on some start offs from a stop 2008 Jeep Liberty Review: I ordered my 08 Jeep Liberty Sport so my review is with 49,000 miles on it. The transmission has a shake from time to time on start offs from a stop. Had it in to the Dealer several times for it but it still does it.
Idle rises when in neutral from time to time as well. |

| Pros: What do you like about 2008 Jeep Liberty? The seats are the best. I traded my 2004 jeep liberty for this and love the inside also love the new design. It has great pickup in the motor. Cons: How would you improve 2008 Jeep Liberty? The outside body is not very strong i can actually move certain parts on the outside with my hands very easily. 2008 Jeep Liberty Review: Outside body is very weak not like the older libertys they were like tanks on the outside also when i go through carwashes it gets scratches very easy and the frame that goes around the headlights actually pulled away from the headlight. i have gone through these same carwashes with other vehicles and never had this problem before. also the paint is actually fading from the washes. other than this problem i love this jeep. |

| Pros: What do you like about 2008 Jeep Liberty? I like the power and handling. For an SUV, it tracks like a go-cart. I also like the size. Cons: How would you improve 2008 Jeep Liberty? First, I would change the ESP system and include at least a rear diff locker! Second, I would include room on the dash for some radio accessories. Nowhere to mount CB, radar detector, scanner, or external sat radio type stuff. Last, I would put better tires on it from the factory. 2008 Jeep Liberty Review: I use my Libby off-road, like they say it is supposed to be used. The first time I had to climb anything steep, it got stuck. In 4L, 4H, no matter what I tried, it just dug a hole here and there. The ESP system was working overtime trying to give traction, but ended up just locking up all 4 wheels and it would go nowhere. Keep in mind, my Ford Ranger with rear locker and my stock Chevy 2500 Duramax climb the same hill repeatedly with no trouble at all. If you plan to use your Liberty in true off-road situations, put better tires and lockers before you do!! |

| Pros: What do you like about 2008 Jeep Liberty? This SUV has a very good appearance. Cons: How would you improve 2008 Jeep Liberty? If i were Chrysler i would use a more proven transmission, one that shifts smoother without the shutter! 2008 Jeep Liberty Review: I am 62 years old and traded in a 2003 Kia Sorento for the 2008 Jeep Liberty.I have been very disappointed.I would love to have our Kia back!I have taken the new Jeep to the dealer 6 times for rough transmission shifting and transmission shutter between 40 and 60 miles per hour. The service department says in their words it's the nature of the beast and we might as well get use to it.They are several service updates for the transmission but none work.Chrysler does not seem to care nor the dealer, the sale has been made.We have an attorney and are going to try through the Tennessee Lemon Law Act. |

| Pros: What do you like about 2008 Jeep Liberty? Very nice acceleration, peppy engine, big strong brakes. Sits nice and high, sunroof is always a plus. It's a JEEP, it like to go in the snow! Cons: How would you improve 2008 Jeep Liberty? Little more luxury in the interior. I have a base model, the seats are firm and do not envelop the body as my former Grand Cherokee did. Cargo space is a little tight, but an improvement over the previous model. 2008 Jeep Liberty Review: A good suburban here to there vehicle. Weather is never a worry with Jeep's 4WD system, even here in New England with our sometimes copius amounts of snow. It is as at home climbing a fire road in the white mountains as it is taking the kids to school and practice. Good value for the money with the current rebates being offered. Everything is more fun in a Jeep. |

| Pros: What do you like about 2008 Jeep Liberty? Ride, Features, New SelectTrac II 4WD, Power Windows on the door. Cons: How would you improve 2008 Jeep Liberty? Put Cruise Control on steering wheel. Get away from Goodyear SR-A tires. 2008 Jeep Liberty Review: Everyone wants to compare the Liberty to a RAV4 or CR-V car based vehicle. It's a truck! It has the gas mileage of a truck. It's what you get when you own a jeep. My 3rd Liberty and the 2008 is the best of the bunch. |

Waiting to get to 1000 miles first. |
