Pros: What do you like about 2008 Hyundai Elantra?
The performance and stability is excellent, roomy interior though with an inferior disc player which went bad within few months.
The price and performance beats Honda and Nissan.

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Hyundai Elantra?
The front tires seem to bend a little outwardly.
The disc player isn't durable.
2.0L ought to perform a little better than that, but if the improved performance would affect its mileage, then the performance is ok at that power of 138hp.

The Elantra wins among cars in its class. The Hyundai family should work on engine noise and ensuring it runs at a quieter sound than the present. The 2.0L Elantra tops the 2009 Honda city in terms of mileage.

I have owned Acuras and Accord, and for the price the Elantra seems to be a better car all round. Hard to beat the warranty.

My car now has 13,500 miles on the clock. Has never missed a beat. Closed to home mixed driving is 28+mpg...hwy is as high as 36mpg, avg hwy is 33.6mpg. Car is comfortable at 75/80mph, best mpg at <70mph, 2750rpm. This is the SE model and roomy and seats are good, could use lumbar for long trips. My car is just over 6 mos old...no rattles...just solid. Very well equiped the SE is worth small additional price.

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Hyundai Elantra?
Road noise can be a problem...needs refinement here. Dash lighting adjustment should be up higher on dash. Needs articulated trunk lid. Grill/Frontal area looks too much like a Toyota, Corrola. Electric power steering takes some getting-used to...it's different...after awhile not noticable.

This is a marvelous small car. Fit and finish is very good, in spite of what some "experts" have said...look for your self. I am just back from a 2,400 mile trip and I can honestly say that the car ride was comfortable and smooth. Since I have owned 5 Honda's over the years and I can honestly say that this car out performed them...in many ways. You need to drive this car if thinking of purchasing a Honda, Toyota, Nissan...pay particular attention what this car (SE)is equiped with vs the others...then factor in the warranty...you'll see why I purchased the Hyundai Elantra.
