Top 5 Pros of 2008 Honda Element
Top 5 Cons of 2008 Honda Element

Guide: 5=Perfect; 3=Good; 1=PoorPros: What do you like about 2008 Honda Element?
Looks good.
Quiet.
Responsive but not stiff.
Plenty of power for the small engine size.
HUGE inside.
Reasonable mileage (about 23-25 mpg) for a 4wd.
Easy to clean.
Great utilitarian design.
A small vehicle but it feels substantial with heavy doors.
Really like the truck tailgate style in back.
Love the built in mp3 hookup and satellite radio.
The ridiculous number of airbags and safety features.
A beautiful little suv, it gets lots of appreciative stares. :)
Cons: How would you improve 2008 Honda Element?
I have the EX model.
Wish it had all the extra power outlets.
The plastic floor is easy to clean but stuff slides all over the place.
Had to put a tub in the back to hold stuff.
Too bad the back windows and sunroof don't have a switch to open them.
You can't open/close them while driving.
Can't put seat covers on the front seats because of the integrated airbags inside them.
2008 Honda Element Review:
I just purchased a 2008 element and I LOVE it! Replaced a 96 RAV4 and it is a hundred times the car for about the same mileage! Fun fun fun to drive, so happy with my purchase!

Guide: 5=Perfect; 3=Good; 1=PoorPros: What do you like about 2008 Honda Element?
Less and less everyday..but it does have nice head room....
Cons: How would you improve 2008 Honda Element?
Hard on gas and hard on brakes...and way too much road noise...
2008 Honda Element Review:
At 32,000 klm's, it is eating its brakes like crazy. I expected more from Honda but have been very disappointed with this auto.

Guide: 5=Perfect; 3=Good; 1=PoorPros: What do you like about 2008 Honda Element?
Rubber floor mats
Cons: How would you improve 2008 Honda Element?
Apparently very high component failure rate. With 6,500 miles complete steering rack failure. At 22,500 miles premature right rear brake failure (right rear outboard <2.9mm, inboard ~6mm, left rear ~6mm out/inboard) requiring new pad and resurfacing.
Poor mileage for a 4-cylinder.
Oil filter on backside of engine above subframe and dumps oil all over subframe during filter change and drips oil for a couple of days after the oil change. Each oil change is very messy - more oil for your driveway.
Windshield very susceptible to stone chips and breaks.
2008 Honda Element Review:
I would not buy another Honda. The supposed product quality and product support is not there. Honda America did not care nor did they care to help investigate the premature failure.

The SC should be available in 4wd also. It is a great design that you should be able to dress up, if you want...
