I have the EXL V6 model.
Great smooth engine and transmission.
Nice handling and LOVE the traction and stability control with winter tires in the snow and ice. Drives like on rails. A solid drive whether empty or fully loaded.
Really enjoy the satellite radio - seldom listen to radio or CD's.
The auto dimming rear view mirror is an excellent feature. Cons: How would you improve 2008 Honda Accord?
Better quality control - interior creaks, especially from shifter console too much road noise.
Gas mileage not nearly as good as expected, even with cylinder management.
Too many buttons! Radio display poor with polarized sunglasses - no green light on AC button to tell if AC is on or off and writing is too small. HVAC controls and trunk design was better on older Accords.
I have owned three Accords and a number of other domestic and foreign vehicles and never had brakes wear out this fast.
Couldn't they have done the seat belt labels in another color than white or at least put the labels on the backside, out of sight?
Even though I have winter tires on separate rims, I have to recalibrate the TPMS sensors at each changeover - $70 per year. 2008 Honda Accord Review:
I bought my Accord early in November, 2007 and had a number of post-delivery door panel, door handle and hood adjustments, all rubber around doors had to be reglued, and trips back to the dealer for multiple creaking issues. Honda needs to get back for better quality control and ergonomics.
Contrary to some other reviewers, I have had no vibration or issues with the Variable Cylinder Management system.
Design of center console not great for storing cd cases and the accessory outlets should be more convenient. |

This is my 5th Honda; this is the 17th Honda owned in my family. Overall, I am pleased with the car. We opted for an Accord this time because of the gas crunch. We were planning on an SUV or another van.....anyway, the gas mileage is not at all what we expected. We have a EX-L V6 with the "highly recommended" Variable Cylinder Management. We get 19 to 21 mpg combined and have gotten no better than 24 - 25 mpg highway. I have complained to the dealer, and they acted surprised and basically blew me off. Also the front seats are uncomfortable and extremely hard to get used to. They are very firm and have a pronounced lumbar arch which is very uncomfortable for trips any longer than a few minutes. It took me 6 months to get used to the seats. My husband (who is not the primary driver) still hates the seats. We did not notice this on the short test-drive. My parents own a 2006 V6 Accord and their seats are much more comfortable, and they get much better gas mileage. My in-laws own a 2004 V6 Camry and they get much better gas mileage. So much for technology!! |

I like the body style, and interior space. Cons: How would you improve 2008 Honda Accord?
The front seats need to be re-designed as they are very uncomfortable to sit in. The seats cause severe discomfort in the mid back, and legs.
The cabin is in need of better sound proofing, very disturbing road noise due to wind .

The front driver, and passenger seat in my 2008 Honda accord ex 6 cyl are so uncomfortable to sit in. I did not realize this while test driving the car. The drivers seat causes severe discomfort in the mid back, and legs that no ammount of seat adjustment aleviates the problem. The road noise/wind sheer is very intense and anoying. This is my FIRST, and absolute LAST purchase of a HONDA vehicle. Honda America told me I should have done more internet research before purchasing the car, and they are absolutely correct. As disappointed as I was with Honda Americas customer service reps response to my issues, and concernes that is what I will take away with this experience. Now at 20k miles it looks as though my rear brakes need replacing. I hope this unfortunately true review will help my fellow man

Rear brakes needed new pads at 33,000 kms. Not good at all for a Japanese built car. Conversation with Honda rep was a total waste of time. He stated this was normal. Should be re-called. Key fob very unreliable, and new batteries don't help. Will go back to North American vehicle. |

Paintwork very prone to stone chips.

Exterior style suits my taste. Got my polished metal color & loved it.
Tons of space at the back, 3 male friends (average build) sat together & gave compliments. Cons: How would you improve 2008 Honda Accord?
Better soundproofing on the roof, especially when it rains it sounds like I am sitting under a zinc roof.
Interior quality. Dashboard very plastic feel & when touched harder you get a "krek" sound.
Need to give quite a push to the the doors to close, unlike Camry just a little nudge & they close nicely. 2008 Honda Accord Review:
Poor interior quality. After 1 week I can hear squeaking sound from under front passenger seat & from the rear. Probably from the speakers mounting or rear sun shade. Driver side door also develop a "hissing" sound at >90kmh. I cannot imagine after 1 year would it sound like my old waja?! Driver side door trim looked like a patch up job & uneven gap between bonnet & front grill. What shitty quality for a Japanese car!!
Hate myself for loving the exterior look & black interior else would definitely have bought the Camry. |

November 2007, I purchased a 2008 Honda Accord LX. I had to replace my back brakes for my 2008 Honda Accord LX on 09/26/08(less than a year) at 20,090 miles and did 2nd back brakes replacement on 08/31/09 at 38,093 miles. It appears I will need to replace my back brakes every 12 months or less. Honda should recall these cars for the brakes and repaired the problem; it is dangerous.
There are several complaints about the 2008 Honda Accord back brake problem and replacement. Have you had any complaints and if so, can you add my complaint to your list. |

Body style and the ample interior. I am 6'3" and am very comfortable in this car. In the older Accords my knees would hit the center console. Cons: How would you improve 2008 Honda Accord?
The rear brakes are absolutely junk! I had 28,000 miles on my 2008 Accord when recently (June 2009) had to bring it in for a break job. The dealer diagnostics was "wear and tear" and that they have seen other 2008 Accords come in with less mileage for a break job. It cost me $200. I say, "Give me a break!!" That means that for every 4 - 5 oil changes I have to bring my car in for a break job? Cost of ownership just went way up!
I have owned Toyota Camry, Matrix and Corolla since 1992 - all of them with tons more mileage on them than 28,000 and never had to do a break job!
Honda better wake up and smell the coffee because unless they fix this problem I will run the opposite way and never ever buy another Honda car. |

This is by far the best looking and performing Honda I have owned, and I have owned several. The gun metal gray was a great choice in color. I get so many compliments on this car, especially when it's clean and shiny. Cons: How would you improve 2008 Honda Accord?
I have a sunroof and I would prefer would if the sunroof would close automatically after turning off the engine. Sometimes I forget to manually close it and it remains open. I also have found the rear brake pads are wearing very early, between 20,000 and 25,000 miles, or even earlier. That's not a good indication of typical Honda quality, and, it could get costly for us who keep our Hondas for long periods of time. C'mon Honda, do the right thing and conduct a recall! 2008 Honda Accord Review:
I love this car! I use it for my work and most of my mileage is highway. It handled well in this past winter's snow and the overall design of the car is outstanding. I have had this '08 for 11 months and 24,000 miles and plan to keep it for many more years. |

There are many cars that are worthy to be owned. This is not one them. As an owner of 2003, and 2007 Acccord's I am shocked at how cheap the 2008 LX interior has become. The dash is a dysfunctional mess of identical buttons. The seats feel and look cheap too. Even thematerial screams CHEAP! The outside has too many strange lines. Overall I find the car a disatisfying miss and or mess. I drove and respected the Hyundai Sonata much more than the new Accord. It was a plain Jane but was comfortable. The new Accord has lost it's way trying to pawn itself off as a BMW 3 series but the poor execution and cheap plastics have done it in. |

Stop the headlight and taillights from flickering every 40 seconds while driving. Replace the cheap painted plastic on the dash and door handles. Mine is 5 months old and has been painted twice and the doors are loosing their paint now. 2008 Honda Accord Review:
