Pros: What do you like about 2008 Honda Accord?
I have the EXL V6 model.

Great smooth engine and transmission.

Nice handling and LOVE the traction and stability control with winter tires in the snow and ice. Drives like on rails. A solid drive whether empty or fully loaded.

Really enjoy the satellite radio - seldom listen to radio or CD's.

The auto dimming rear view mirror is an excellent feature.

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Honda Accord?
Better quality control - interior creaks, especially from shifter console too much road noise.

Gas mileage not nearly as good as expected, even with cylinder management.

Too many buttons! Radio display poor with polarized sunglasses - no green light on AC button to tell if AC is on or off and writing is too small. HVAC controls and trunk design was better on older Accords.

I have owned three Accords and a number of other domestic and foreign vehicles and never had brakes wear out this fast.

Couldn't they have done the seat belt labels in another color than white or at least put the labels on the backside, out of sight?

Even though I have winter tires on separate rims, I have to recalibrate the TPMS sensors at each changeover - $70 per year.

2008 Honda Accord Review:
I bought my Accord early in November, 2007 and had a number of post-delivery door panel, door handle and hood adjustments, all rubber around doors had to be reglued, and trips back to the dealer for multiple creaking issues. Honda needs to get back for better quality control and ergonomics.

Contrary to some other reviewers, I have had no vibration or issues with the Variable Cylinder Management system.

Design of center console not great for storing cd cases and the accessory outlets should be more convenient.

Pros: What do you like about 2008 Honda Accord?
Good quality interior and exterior. Great handling. Fun to drive. I like the accessory port for MP3 player. Roomy interior and trunk.

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Honda Accord?
More comfortable driver and front passenger seats. Better gas mileage. The gas mileage in this car with Variable Cylinder Management is worse than my parents 2006 EX-L V6 Accord!!

2008 Honda Accord Review:
This is my 5th Honda; this is the 17th Honda owned in my family. Overall, I am pleased with the car. We opted for an Accord this time because of the gas crunch. We were planning on an SUV or another van.....anyway, the gas mileage is not at all what we expected. We have a EX-L V6 with the "highly recommended" Variable Cylinder Management. We get 19 to 21 mpg combined and have gotten no better than 24 - 25 mpg highway. I have complained to the dealer, and they acted surprised and basically blew me off. Also the front seats are uncomfortable and extremely hard to get used to. They are very firm and have a pronounced lumbar arch which is very uncomfortable for trips any longer than a few minutes. It took me 6 months to get used to the seats. My husband (who is not the primary driver) still hates the seats. We did not notice this on the short test-drive. My parents own a 2006 V6 Accord and their seats are much more comfortable, and they get much better gas mileage. My in-laws own a 2004 V6 Camry and they get much better gas mileage. So much for technology!!

Pros: What do you like about 2008 Honda Accord?
This is a 2008 EX-L, 4 cyl. 4-D sedan.

PROS: good handling, great on the highway, well built, powerful engine, roomy, smart interior design.

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Honda Accord?
Get rid of the OEM Michelin Pilot tires. They are noisy and uncomfortable to ride on. Interior is noisy on the highway. Add sound-proofing, at least to the doors.

Re-do the seats to make them somewhat more comfortable.

2008 Honda Accord Review:
I bought my 2008 used with 28K miles. Went west for 3500 miles and got back and changed out the Michelins to Bridgestone Turanza Serenity. Then, I added a top-quality brand of insulation sound-proofing to the interior of the four doors. Cut the cabin noise by 65%. Worthy every penny.

Pros: What do you like about 2008 Honda Accord?
I like the exterior look of the car. Very nice lines!

Rides firm but smooth on tight turns.

Interior has a nice clean and nonchalant look to it.

Engine I4 is fairly smooth and I have been getting on the average 28 MPG until it got cold out and I have been warming it up in the mornings for a few minutes before driving. So now it's about 25MPG.

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Honda Accord?
Ridiculous cheap squeaky dash board! Passenger side door speaker sounds blown. Front end is very prone to chipping!

I had to replace the rear brakes right around 30K Miles! And I am confused about that because the front brakes do something like 70-80% of the braking.

Less back seat room than our 2007 Camry and 91 Caprice. Less gas mileage than our 2007 Camry. Less trunk space than our 2007 Camry and 91 Caprice.

2008 Honda Accord Review:
Really let down by the "Japanese Design Build Quality" hype of this car and my wife's 2007 Camry SE(23K mi) which had a leaky sunroof and also a squeaky dash. Those problems were fixed by Toyota. Both of our newer cars shake and rattle more than our old reliable 1991 Caprice classic with 181,694 miles we use to pull the pop up camper and as a back up...while our newer Accord and Camry are in the shop. Judging by what people with the V-6 are getting gas mileage wise that is what my Caprice gets as well. 18-21MPG. Next time I will look long and hard at American cars like the Ford Fusion, Chevy Malibu, and the new Buick Regal.

Exterior Style and comfortability!

Re-design rear brake flaws. It is ridiculous that I will have to replace my rear brakes every 28,000 at a cost of $225.00.
Also, a bit noisy.

Pros: What do you like about 2008 Honda Accord?
I like everything about the car thus far.. sexy body style with deep lines on the exterior where the pinstripes are, that brings out the body of the car.

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Honda Accord?
I have replaced my back brakes three times and the car has about 58,000 miles on it now. I cannot afford to pay the $550.00 to the dealership for the back brakes, so my mechanic husband replaces them for me. This is ridiculous for the $30,000 I'm paying for this car--I should have to do nothing but buy tires, gas, and do oil changes at this point. My 1994 Honda Civic's brakes have only been replaced once, and it has 123,000 miles, compared with this Accord.

2008 Honda Accord Review:
I still like the Honda brand, and I am a loyal Honda owner. I would not buy a brand new Honda again, however. I will upgrade to the better Acura brand next time.

LIKE PERFORMANCE AND THE LOOK.

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Honda Accord?
WOULD IMPROVE THE BRAKE SYSTEM AND THE CHEAP "LEATHER".

2008 Honda Accord Review:
AFTER SO MANY PEOPLE COMPLAIN ABOUT THEIR BRAKES, WHAT IS HONDA DOING TO MAKE A RECALL? I SHOULD HAVE SHOPPED AROUND BEFORE BUYING THE 08 ACCORD. SINCE MARCH 08 I CHANGED MY REAR BRAKES 3 TIMES AND ONLY HAVE 21000 MILES. I SHOULD HAVE GOT A NISSAN MAXIMA INSTEAD. SUCKS TO BE ME.

Pros: What do you like about 2008 Honda Accord?
I like the body style, and interior space.

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Honda Accord?
The front seats need to be re-designed as they are very uncomfortable to sit in. The seats cause severe discomfort in the mid back, and legs.

The cabin is in need of better sound proofing, very disturbing road noise due to wind .

Re-design the brakes. Brakes are causing problems after only 20k miles.

2008 Honda Accord Review:
The front driver, and passenger seat in my 2008 Honda accord ex 6 cyl are so uncomfortable to sit in. I did not realize this while test driving the car. The drivers seat causes severe discomfort in the mid back, and legs that no ammount of seat adjustment aleviates the problem. The road noise/wind sheer is very intense and anoying. This is my FIRST, and absolute LAST purchase of a HONDA vehicle. Honda America told me I should have done more internet research before purchasing the car, and they are absolutely correct. As disappointed as I was with Honda Americas customer service reps response to my issues, and concernes that is what I will take away with this experience. Now at 20k miles it looks as though my rear brakes need replacing. I hope this unfortunately true review will help my fellow man
/woman in deciding weather or not to purchase this car. SO LONG HONDA...

Pros: What do you like about 2008 Honda Accord?

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Honda Accord?
Rear brakes needed new pads at 33,000 kms. Not good at all for a Japanese built car. Conversation with Honda rep was a total waste of time. He stated this was normal. Should be re-called. Key fob very unreliable, and new batteries don't help. Will go back to North American vehicle.
