Smooth ride, when it runs. Cons: How would you improve 2008 GMC Acadia?
Total LEMON! Started having major issues at 9 months of new ownership! Yikes! Haven't gone 4 months without something major going wrong. Have had 2 new batteries, new entertainment system replaced, battery wires replaced, water pump replaced, fuel economy reduced due to poor power with temperature changes, paint scratches easily, power steering replaced & service dept. not being confident in problems being fixed! GM offered an extended warranty! Are they crazy! I've lost thousands and GM doesn't care! Poor quality car! Shame on you GM. 2008 GMC Acadia Review:

great car, but GM should have performed more testing before production 2008 GMC Acadia Review:
I love the car, but hate all of the issues. This car has been in and out of the shop since 1400 miles. Had to drop the engine to replace the cams/heads, two new starters, two dead batteries, air bag sensor replaced three times, climate control replaced four times, and leaking sunroof issues. Tried to support American, but my next car will be a Toyota. |

The ride, styling, quiet interier, and interier room blew me away! After taking one for a test drive I could not sleep that night thinking about the truck. Bought the truck the next day! Cons: How would you improve 2008 GMC Acadia?

Vehicle rides well, looks nice with nice accents. Vehicle holds the road well and is comfortable and roomy. Cons: How would you improve 2008 GMC Acadia?
Fix front end and engine hesitation problems. 2008 GMC Acadia Review:
The 2008 Acadia looks sleek and rides nice. It's priced decently and the packages to be added are decently priced. The vehicle has had engine troubles with a heisitation since 2006. The 2006 and 2007 models had tsbs afte production that recalibrated the engine to fix the hesitation. Once the recalibration has been completed it affects the vehicle's gas mileage where the vehicle averages less than 15 MPH. 2008 models were to haved the recalibration installed before they leave the factory. The engine hesitates and feels like it chokes out when trying to accelerate from a steady speed. This leaves you always having to accelerate which makes for a less than smooth ride. GMC knows of the hesitation and does not know how to fix it. They say the vehicle "drives as designed". If it's designed to hesitate and give an aggravating ride then know wonder GM is in trouble. Save yourself the trouble and purchase another vehicle. |

make side step options avail. Ex: side step tubes. optional
The gear ratio needs adjustment. Also thie vehicle lacks the power it needs. 2008 GMC Acadia Review:
I am having issues with the transmission since I bought the 2008 version 1 month ago. Apparently, GMC has no solution for the problem at this time.

Super good looks. Gas mileage(25 mpg fully loaded trip from NY to FL. Cons: How would you improve 2008 GMC Acadia?
More advertising. Improve some of cheap looking interior. 2008 GMC Acadia Review:
We drove our Acadia in and out of city driving and then drove highway driving from NY to FL and had no complaints. Smooth, comfortable ride. Vision good. |
