| Pros: What do you like about 2008 Ford Fusion?
The room! I still cannot believe they consider this a mid-size vehicle. I do know that the 2010's look a bit smaller. Not the 2008, nice leg room and the back seat has tons of leg room. At highway speeds the car just glides and the 6cyl makes passing so much easier. Cons: How would you improve 2008 Ford Fusion?
For some reason the pick-up in this car is not that strong (maybe it's just mine). However it is only a 3litre vehicle. So far not much more to report. 2008 Ford Fusion Review:
Best money I have spent on a car so far. With the price I paid I got a lot more then I bargained for. Ford has done well with this vehicle! |

This car kicks butt!
V6 has lots of power.
Interior is spacious for a mid sized sedan.
Sound system is great for stock and you don't have to turn it up very loud to hear it because the cab is very quiet even at highway speeds. Cons: How would you improve 2008 Ford Fusion?
More power ports and need more cup holders in the back seat. 2008 Ford Fusion Review:
My wife wanted a Camry and we test drove several. We just fell into a test drive of the Fusion because we couldn't find the Camry she wanted and after 5 min in this car we were sold. Thank you Ford for finally getting it right! |

I have I-4. I like cruise quietness and driving on rails at freeway speeds. Fuel mileage I get is fine at 33 mph at trip mileage. Cons: How would you improve 2008 Ford Fusion?
Wish front seat bottoms were higher especially on passenger side, feel like sitting on bottom of a bathtub.
After 2 hours of freeway drive both seats are very very uncomfortable compared to my Toyotas, both a 2007 Corolla and a 2005 Camry as well as a 2008 Sienna.
Poorest feature by far is unsupportive seats followed by noisy engine during acceleration.
Oh yes, poor rear visibility through rear window. Outside rear mirrors are just fine. |

6 speed trans.

the i4 does needs some work. would be nice to have a little more power. for a 4 cyl, it doesn't get as good gas mileage as i expected. but it's ok. 2008 Ford Fusion Review:

comfort, interior layout.
manual climate controls actually work.
gas consumption on I4 at 26.7mpg av is good for a 2.3L with adequate power.
underfloor/engine sealing/silencing is neat. Cons: How would you improve 2008 Ford Fusion?
have a less wide under door step out.
improve the synchromesh and/or 5sp. manual shifting which is very heavy and does not compare w/FOCUS and SAAB 95 my last manual shift vehicles.
change gearbox ratios-too low 1st and 2nd. w/5th a bit low too vs. FOCUS.
tighter turning circle.
re-engineer the trunk height which is interrupted by the rear seat bracing.
change the high beam on to UP not DOWN as is too easy to engage inadvertently.
more engine underfloor silencing.
extend the underarm storage space forward if poss as can't access when mobile. 2008 Ford Fusion Review:

Sport Package! The new 18 inch rims, and smoked chrome grill are absolutely awesome. Body styling is great, interior is smooth... Can't hardly complain. Cons: How would you improve 2008 Ford Fusion?
More HP in the I4. I own the SE I4 with sport package, moon and tune, and leather seating, can't complain on anything but the Power. Also needs a better turn radius. It seems to improve over last year, but still could use work. 2008 Ford Fusion Review:
