I'm surprised by the solid feel when closing doors, cornering, etc. I downscaled from a Toyota Tundra (can you say gas prices?) It has been 35+ years since owning an american sedan. I've got to say, I'm impressed. It gets me from point a to b and still leaves me with cash for other things (golf). Cons: How would you improve 2008 Ford Focus? Nothing I can think of right now. I have the SES. 2008 Ford Focus Review: It's a three year lease. This will give me a chance to see if the quality has improved in American companies. I'm really hoping they have finally realized (thank you Toyota!) that sub-standard cars will stay in their dealership's parking lots. Go America!!!!! If this car performs like this for three years,(I hope my boys aren't listening), I'll consider purchasing a Ford in the future. My first car was a Ford Mustang, (I've despised and made fun of them ever since (1970), maybe my last will be a Ford. I've been looking overseas long enough! My boys do like the styling of new focus. I absolutely adore the fact that the Focus is a major change to the previous generations of Focuses. I also love love love the interior of the vehicle and the frony of the car that makes it unique. Cons: How would you improve 2008 Ford Focus? I would have to say the rear of the car, because it looses the focus of the feel of the car and the taillights need to be bigger! Very smooth positive shifting manual 5-speed transmission. Zippy power, fairly tight suspension for an econo-car. Sips gas. VERY quiet. Cons: How would you improve 2008 Ford Focus? Front seat headrests jut too far forward. My base 2 dr coupe has no spare tire, just a fix-a-flat kit. No tire iron or jack either. These are optional. Driver seat needs more adjustment controls. 2008 Ford Focus Review: I bought a base 2-dr coupe 5-speed manual. I compared it to the Chevy Cobalt LS. Went with the Ford. I personally like the new Focus exerior styling change. Manual transmission preserves some driver fun, and is very smooth. Engine revs at 2200 rpm at 60 mph in 5th gear. This new Focus is unusually quiet, Ford redesigned it to be so. Has a center storage console that has enormous storage space. Trunk is also huge, and the rear seats split fold down. Good gas mileage, and feels very tight and solid. Wouldn't hesitate to drive cross-country in it.
