2008 Ford F-250/F-350

Pros: What do you like about 2008 Ford F-250/F-350?
I TRADED A 2004 F250 WITH ON 45000 MILES ON IT FOR MY 2008 F250. BOTH TRUCKS HAD 5.4 ENGINES, MY 2004 BEGAN TO BUBBLE/RUST AT REAR FENDER WELLS, STILL UNDER RUST WARRANTY, FORD DID NOTHING. MY 2008 MODEL IS SO GOOD LOOKING, DRIVES GREAT ECT., BUT DRIVING EASY, NOT HARD I STILL AVERAGE 12 MPG, WITH THE COST OF FUEL I'M TORMENTED TO LOOK AT TRADING FOR A CHEVY WITH A PROVEN BETTER FUEL MPG GAS ENGINE.

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Ford F-250/F-350?
FUEL ECONOMY IS NOT ACCEPTABLE IN TODAY'S WORLD. MY TRUCK IS NOT WORKED OR ABUSED. WOULD BE PERFECT TRUCK IF MPG WERE 5 HIGHER.

2008 Ford F-250/F-350 Review:
Well seeing how I have it lifted 6 inches running 37's with a DPF/cat delete, banks dual exhaust, banks ram air intake, edge programmer if anything out there can compare I'd like to see it. I never bought it for the MPG's and it has hauled everything I tossed at it minus a 60 000 lb rock I had in my yard lol. I love this truck. For the guys who say they have towing issues do the DPF/cat delete and you will unleash some brutal power....

I hate that seat belt bell & the light for tire pre.(air) & gas & I am on my 2nd 6.4 motor. Ford will not call me back.

Get rid of the regeneration, this absolutely kills the fuel mileage and takes away power when needed.

Design and layout and looks. Tight and sharp. ANd definatley not the pitiful seat support.

New seat design is horrendously uncomfortable. They are poorly supportive, get you a good chiropractor you will need one. These seats are the enemy to comfortable!!! MPG'S are scary with our economy. This is why they wont get bailout money from congress. It would be throwing good money after bad. 9 -12.5 absolute best i have gotten so far.

2008 Ford F-250/F-350 Review:
These seats leave ford design team with much to rethink. What were they thinking putting this low support seat type in a long term 200K type vehicle. I know, parts sales! They will absolutely hurt your lower back. It takes about a week to figure out why your back is killing you, then it will dawn on you its your Ford.

The only thing I can say is better MPG. But, this is a work truck and I work it. I have 58k on mine and have not had any problems. I also plow snow with it.

2008 Ford F-250/F-350 Review:
I bought my F-350 new and now have 17,000 miles on it. I get 12 mpg average at 65-70 mph. In pulling my 38 ft 5th wheel travel trailer it really struggles with a lot of noise, vibration and rough riding. Over one stretch of I-40 near Oklahoma City it was so rough I couldn't keep my foot on the accelerator. I had to slow to 35-40 mph to be able to control it. Incidentally, I used to drive 18 wheelers from coast to coast so I do know something about towing trailers. Ford has done a remarkable job of marketing a pile of crap. I wish I had back the Chevy I traded for it. That was a sweet truck.
