| Pros: What do you like about 2008 Ford Escape? When I purchased the vehicle, I liked the fact that the rear seats folded perfectly flat. Enjoyed the drive, interior and satisfied with the performance for a 4 cylinder vehicle. Cons: How would you improve 2008 Ford Escape? For a SUV, and being the owner of a canoe, there are no real tie downs to secure the canoe to the vehicle. Roof rack seems to be more cosmetic than functional - too small.
My key issues are with the workmanship and dealer support. Paint on side trim pieces flaked off and dealership would not cover. Paint on rear hatch hinges starting to do the same. Uneven wear on tires and is starting to sound like a bus when driving highway speeds. Vehicle has been under the dealership's care the whole period and they are not owning up to the problem.
The redesigned windshield washer blades are useless in Canadian "slushy" winters. During one storm, I had to pull over on a multi-lane highway three times to clear the blades. They do not offer a winter version of the blade and they are too new to find an aftermarket brand. 2008 Ford Escape Review: Though I enjoy driving the vehicle, the issues I have run into with the dealership / Ford standing behind their product is leaving me bitter. We are looking for a new vehicle for my partner and am about to send an email to both Ford and the dealership letting them know that we will not be looking at their product due to the lack of confidence |

| Pros: What do you like about 2008 Ford Escape? Love the trucks looks and the inside is very comfortable. Cons: How would you improve 2008 Ford Escape? First I would get parts to my dealers so they could fix their product. Second I would not treat buyers as lepers. Third I would make the truck mechanically sound. I do not recommend that you purchase an Escape 2008 Ford Escape Review: Ford Escape Limited, in two years I have had brake problems, transmission problems and now catalytic converter problems. On 10-5-09 I took my Ford Escape to my dealer because it would not shift. The problem is the catalytic converter and there are no more available until 12/31/09 at the earliest. That means I am stuck in a rental for 3 months or longer while ford finds a part, yet pay for a Escape Limited.
Customer service; first stop was India, followed up by a contact with my Philadelphia Zone Manager because my dealer, who I do recommend, tried their best to put me in touch with the zone manager. What a treat. After a few days of phone tag he finally called me back and proceeded to tell me the same thing my dealer did. No Parts, to bad, they will not cancel the lease, I am stuck in a rented vehicle, which my kids can't drive, yet pay insurance to drive and that is that...
I am writing to tell everyone DO NOT BUY A FORD ESCAPE unless you like paying for a truck you don't get to drive.

| Pros: What do you like about 2008 Ford Escape? exterior Cons: How would you improve 2008 Ford Escape? transmission, interior 2008 Ford Escape Review: transmission replaced new, rad replaced, bearings in rear, transmission oil pump replaced, clunking noise in steering, they're still working on it and ford trying to find solution, two wheel alignments and still getting wear on all four tires, coolent seems to disapear from resevoir bottle but three times in shop and they can't find the problem. I could go on, ford keeps saying how they reached import levels, they're not even close!!! pay a bit more and buy reliable imports.by the way my escape only has 30,000km,great job ford! |

| Pros: What do you like about 2008 Ford Escape? It's got space... that's it. Cons: How would you improve 2008 Ford Escape? Quality I find is poor, interior style cheap, engine power should be more for a V6, transmission sucks, engine power overall sucks. Problems with the exterior paint getting rust spots all over my Escape - I mean all over the exterior, it's in spots rust shouldn't even form. 2008 Ford Escape Review: I never should have bought this Escape. It was a big mistake. My second vehicle is 4 yrs old and I can get more money for it than my 2008 ford Escape that's #$%& up. I bought this vehicle because I wanted to do my part in helping domestic manufactures. Well guess what..., they are gonna have to do a hell of a lot to convince me to purchase another domestic vehicle. I shouldn't have to be taking my SUV back to the dealer 2-3 times a month for stupid S#@*&, fix it right the first time. |

It took ford nearly two months to supply replacement parts and to repair. disgusting quality performance. |

| Pros: What do you like about 2008 Ford Escape? good power and response from the V6 Limited escape, wide doors to let us bigger folks in and out, easy to step out not climb up and out, quiet and pleasure to drive, peace of mind with air bags and safety features, quick turn radius, clean dash and front controls easy to access. Good fuel economy around 25mpg, bought a lease return and saved at least $8000.00. Purchased additional warranty protection due extensive electrical computer system. At our age we have had about all types of 4x4 vehicles, this is by far the one we like the most. Cons: How would you improve 2008 Ford Escape? emergency brake pedal and release in poor position. Seats could be a little less firm but excellent quality in leather package. Low 36,000 mile warranty, purchased another 5 years and 75K warranty due to numerous computers, sensors, motherboards, etc that could cost a fortune if a problem came up once out ot the 36K warranty. 2008 Ford Escape Review: We have owned the blazers, toyota 4 runner, for explorer, k1500 pickup, subarau, suzuki, and various 4x4 rigs over the years. This is our favorite over any previous vehicle we have owned. Although many good deals out there, we chose a 2008 Limited V6 model from lease return and saved $7000 to $8000K from buying new. The 2009 was tempting due new auto trans available. |

| Pros: What do you like about 2008 Ford Escape? The exterior is sharp and pretty, especially the chrome in the front. Cons: How would you improve 2008 Ford Escape? I would improve the performance and safety issues. 7 days after purchase 8/27/07), the cable line to accelerator broke, car stalls at times, then at other time there is surprise speed. 2008 Ford Escape Review: I owned the 2005 Ford Freestyle Limited before; it has some recalls and problems, but nothing like the Escape. Interior is poor. I hate my Escape! It's a waste of money. |
