| Pros: What do you like about 2008 Ford Edge?
Smooth ride, very stylish.
Love the huge sun roof. Cons: How would you improve 2008 Ford Edge?
At 28,000 miles vehicle started jerking in and out of gear on my way home from work, would not accelerate and was making a noise under the hood like something was very loose and rubbing together, had towed to dealership. Transmission is done. This car has been taken care of and has been pampered, kinda crazy to have a new car and have the transmission go out. Dealership not wanting to give a rental. 2008 Ford Edge Review:
Overall, I love this vehicle but after seeing the other review that someone else had the same transmission problems, got me thinking that I may need get something else. |

Needs less cheap plastic touch and better inst. cluster lighting.
"All" power toys similar to my Lexus RX 330. Cons: How would you improve 2008 Ford Edge?
Instrument cluster, very poor daytime lighting. At dusk with parking/headlights on back lighting not bright enough. Ford replaced cluster, still the same problem. If instrument face were white or similar to Flex it would be a great.
Hey, Ford guys. Could these inst. clusters be swapped?
Needs a "5" gear or higher ratio. |

see my experience with accident 2008 Ford Edge Review:
01/23/09:at red light, foot on brake, engine surged, Edge lurched forward, sent car in front into intersection, turned to avoid another collision, foot still on brake, no stopping, put it in PARK, no deal, put on emergency brake, finally stopped!! Imagine the stress, anxiety, chaos. Case in legal dept. at Ford ,counting on a fair solution. Family has owned many ,many Fords with few problems. Anyone else experience this? Will post further developments. |

| 2008 Ford Edge Review:
Purchased new Ford Edge Nov. 1 2008. During first highway trip on Nov. 29, traveled approx. 220 miles @70 mph and exited for a break. As we approached the stop sign on the exit ramp I felt a jolt. After stopping, the car would not accelerate forward. Major transmission failure at 1,400 miles. Car towed to a nearby dealer. Had to arrange own rental pickup at a nearby airport. Ford customer service (national) has been completely non-supportive and has placed full responsibility for resolution on the dealer where the car was towed to. After 3 days, I have not been contacted in regards to the resolution or if the car rental charges will be covered. |

Incredibly quiet ride, huge sunroof, Sync is incredible, exterior styling is great. Cons: How would you improve 2008 Ford Edge?
More paint colors. Selection is terrible. Study Dodge Magnum for comparable value (though different style). 2008 Ford Edge Review:
Not being a Ford guy, the Edge wasn't really on my radar until I saw one in a parking lot. Much roomier than commercials make it appear. Terrific ride, very sturdy, no sway associated with bigger SUVs -- significantly better ride than I was expecting. Bought one 2 days after initial test drive. |

Would love to have some wood grain inside 2008 Ford Edge Review:
Purchased my 08 Edge Limited 1/12/08. I love the feel of it. It really holds the road and feels very substanial, yet not boring. It has everything in it that anyone could want. Especially the IN Sync. Very quiet inside, smooth ride. Nice sound system, comfortable seats. Very solid and well thought out CRV. I love it! |
