I love the exterior.
Lots of leg room up front.
Good gas mileage.
Overall it has a very sharp look. Cons: How would you improve 2008 Dodge Caliber?
The seats could be softer.
Brakes seem to screech at times.

I've had problems with water puddling up in the back floorboard and up front on the drivers side. Other than that I love my 2008 Caliber and would buy another one. |

Over all not a bad car for the price, standard features are good.
The reviews I got from all the sales people I had talked to told me that this car will do 40 + MPG on the highway, well I would like to see it happen.
I am getting 27--30 in the city and that's really good, but on the highway I get 30--32, hmmm.
I wanted to buy winter tires for the 18" wheels that came with my SXT Sport. Wow! Price over $300.00 a tire and very hard to find. |

Very nice features.

Larger arm rest.
Spare tire.
Back up camera.
Gear indicator.
Oddball tire size.
All SRT's should come with the touch screen stereo.
Gas mileage could be better. |

Looks good.
Drives well around town, will know more later on trips.
Good radio sound.

Better arm rests, not up far enough for short people.
Better tinted windows.
Brakes making a lot of noise after going through water in road, getting some better.

I don't know what the "experts" find so wrong.. My wife and I love our Caliber. Great room for it's size, 27 mpg around town, good design,just as many blind spots as the Lexus 550. Seems solid, we love it.. Just got a bad rap. We also have a Nissan Altima 3.5 SL and still enjoy driving the caliber. Cons: How would you improve 2008 Dodge Caliber?

Best bang for the buck. I don't even fell like I downsized from my Jeep Cherokee. Fun and easy to drive even without the power and luxury of the Jeep. Cons: How would you improve 2008 Dodge Caliber?
Bit more power and gas mileage eventhough it's acceptable with high gas prices. 2008 Dodge Caliber Review:
Really thoughtful accessories with great design. Fun to drive (just drove from Los Angeles to Las Vegas and back)and handles inclines fine. Power is okay for a 4 cyl (2.0 eng) with no problem getting on freeway and hitting speed limit pretty quickly. I am not at all disappointed coming from an 8 cyl luxurious $40,000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. It's kind of refreshing.
As far as longevity goes only time will tell but after 2 months I'm still happy... especially for the price tag and much better gas mileage than I was accustomed to. |

In a nut shell, this is a sharp package. This is a great car for married couples with a small family and singles who want to haul around a few friends. The list of standard features is outstanding. Most of these features would be options on other brands. Those of you who want more power check out the 08 Caliber SRT4. Talk about bang for the buck (285hp / 265lbs of torque) starting under 23K. The Dodge Boys have done it again. I currently drive a 04 Stratus Coup but my next purchase will be an 08 Caliber SRT4. Have a safe and fun drive. |
