Pros: What do you like about your 2008 Chrysler Town & Country?
Rides nice.
Comfortable to travel in for long distances.

Cons: How would you improve your 2008 Chrysler Town & Country?
Vans shuts down driving down the road. The garage keeps telling me they can't find the problem. Come on Chrysler, get your act together. I have been a Chrysler man, but in the future I am leaning to never buying another Chrysler.

2008 Chrysler Town & Country Review:

Pros: What do you like about your 2008 Chrysler Town & Country?
Rides well.
Decent mileage.
Runs well.

Cons: How would you improve your 2008 Chrysler Town & Country?
BRAKES BRAKES BRAKES! In 3 years I've had to replace the brakes and rotors 4 times!! And the rear calipers twice! What is up with this boys? Can't you do a better job? This last time cost me $660! It's getting traded and I'll never buy a Chrysler product again. This was our 3rd one and this one did it to us. The other 2 were just great. Our 94 Plymouth van was a wonderful vehicle.
11 recalls we've had with the 08 so far too. How ridiculous is this?
Avoid them like the plague!

2008 Chrysler Town & Country Review:
Could be far better considering we bailed them out a few years back. And the people wonder why Toyota and Honda are taking the market in storms? Duh!

Pros: What do you like about your 2008 Chrysler Town & Country?
Style of the van - interior and exterior.
Like the Stow and Go.

Cons: How would you improve your 2008 Chrysler Town & Country?
Better brake system. I've had to replace brake pads and rotors more than what I consider to be normal. Lucky for me I purchased the lifetime warranty that only has a $100 deductible. I've had approximately $850 in repairs and I brought the van new.
Less noise inside.
Heat vent on the passenger side means hot air on the passenger's legs - winter or summer. I've had passenger's complain (me included when I'm not driving) about the heat that comes out even when the blower is not on.

2008 Chrysler Town & Country Review:
I enjoy driving my Town & Country and frequently get comments about what a nice looking van it is. Enjoy driving it on the highway. Good mileage.

Pros: What do you like about your 2008 Chrysler Town & Country?
The DVD system is very cool , kids love it. However the entertainment system had a problem and had to be replaced (under warranty)

Cons: How would you improve your 2008 Chrysler Town & Country?
Everywhere, Chrysler has a long, long, long way to go to get there quality back. I rode in a brand new $36,000 Chrysler 300 and stupid things like the plastic change holder in the center console popped up and squeaked . That stuff shouldn't happen on a brand new car

2008 Chrysler Town & Country Review:
Warning DO NOT BUY A CHRSLER OR DODGE VAN, search the Internet and you will see many reviews like mine. I have had 4 sets of breaks ( van has 60,000 miles). The power doors have never shut correctly. We have had about a dozen recalls , the auto light switch broke, the DVD system failed, the right rear caliper had to be replaced, the ignition had to be replaced, the list goes on and on.

Pros: What do you like about your 2008 Chrysler Town & Country?
the size is perfect for my family

Cons: How would you improve your 2008 Chrysler Town & Country?
This van is way to expensive to upkeep. The brakes wear fast; I also had to use heavy duty brake pads and rotors on my van and they still squeal at times when the brake is applied. The tires wear fast also. Right now, I'm having some sort of electrical issue with the abs, brake, esp/bas, and traction lights coming on periodically; need a new abs control module. I need to seriously consider trading this vehicle in asap.

2008 Chrysler Town & Country Review:
Totally not safe. I'm stressed every time I get in this van because I'm so worried that something else might happen or give up mechanically. This is the only vehicle I have for my family and I don't even want them in it. Chrysler should be ashamed to even have this on the market. This van needs to be recalled seriously for overall safety issues.

Pros: What do you like about your 2008 Chrysler Town & Country?
Stow and Go.

Cons: How would you improve your 2008 Chrysler Town & Country?
Brakes, Routers, Calipers have many problems.
Transmission went bad at 46,000 miles and it was only warranted to 36,000, which is terrible.

Pros: What do you like about your 2008 Chrysler Town & Country?
Looks great and has alot of features we had never had before.

Cons: How would you improve your 2008 Chrysler Town & Country?
Mechanical reliability.

2008 Chrysler Town & Country Review:
Purchase this van in February, problems started one month later. The list goes on and on. Our mechanic cringes now when we drive up in this piece of junk. From transmission issues, faulty EGR valve, vehicle not starting probably 7 times out of 10, doors opening when supposed to be closed, door getting stuck open, vehicle shutting down while driving down the road, replaced shocks/struts and it still sound like the whole underneath is going to drop off, and on and on. Don't trust this vehicle to put my grandchildren in and drive down the highway. So disappointed in a vehicle that I had so looked forward to owning. Seriously stresses me out each and every time I get in it because it seems to be a new problem almost every day.

Pros: What do you like about your 2008 Chrysler Town & Country?
Stow-and-go 2nd row seats are a great feature.
Front seats are very comfortable for long distance drives.
Dual DVD screens.
Large center console with plentiful storage.
Easy to do your own maintenance (and you'll do a lot!)

Cons: How would you improve your 2008 Chrysler Town & Country?
The brakes were a problem (as you can determine by the numerous internet threads related to 08 T&C brake problems) until I upgraded the pads and rotors at a local brake and muffler shop. Chrysler or other national brake and muffler shops won't do the upgrade.
The engine burns oil at an alarming rate (1 quart+ per 1000 miles) for a newer engine. My neighbor's van has the same problem.
The sliding doors have never worked properly. The doors start to shut and then reopen like there is something blocking their path.
A/C has broke twice in 2.5 years.
My overhead DVD console rattles like crazy!

2008 Chrysler Town & Country Review:
I don't want to sound nit-picky, but I feel like the overall quality of this van is sub-par. I have owned it for 3 years. During this time the following items have been a problem:

- Tires wore out @ around 25k miles
- Brakes wore out @ 15k miles, 29k miles, 45k miles
- Rear power doors will not close; keep reopening
- A/C stopped blowing cold air...twice
- Engine burns an alarming rate of oil (1+ quart/1k miles)
- Annoying rattling sound coming from front suspension
- Annoying rattling sound coming from overhead DVD console

Conversely, my previous vehicle was a Mazda MPV minivan. I got 75k miles out of the original tires AND brakes. It never burned a drop of oil. I never had the car to the dealer for ANY repairs. It was rock solid with no rattles and excellent fit and finish. AND this was a 2004 model!

DO NOT BUY a 2008 Chrysler T&C unless you are a mechanic and enjoy spending your free time working on your vehicle.
