What do you like about 2007 Jeep Wrangler? It is the only "true" off road offering left sold in the US. I would have preferred a defender 90, but This is nearly as good. The power is OK for my daily commute, the mileage is acceptable, and compared to the 2500 Cummins Dodge it replaces, it handles quite nice around town. This is far and away the best driving jeep I have ever run. I love the room in the 4door, and would recommend this 100% over an "urban assault vehicle" like the H3. I test drove both, and find the H3 to be something pretty much useless for off-road use. It is designed to make other suburban Moms feel inadequate, and, like all IFS vehicles, pretty much useless off-road (H1 aside).
How would you improve 2007 Jeep Wrangler? Install 4 inch lift on Rubicon models from the factory to regain breakover loss due to the longer WB. Improve the mounting of the soft-top support straps- 3 pop rivets is a joke, even for a US made vehicle(mine have broken twice in 2000 miles) More torque at lower RPM. Deeper center console, U-joints- Dump the driveshaft CV's (what were they thinking?) Narrower fenders would look better with stock tires.
2007 Jeep Wrangler Review: If you are REALLY going to off-road your new vehicle, this is the best new vehicle you can get to this end (in the US), period. Nothing else even comes close. However, if you just want to LOOK like you "wheel", and take a few unimproved roads to a campsite, there are better performing "street" SUVs.
