This is the best midsize sedan for drivers who can't afford a BMW or Audi. Camry & Accord are for old ladies...the Passat is more diverse. From the 2.0T to the loaded V6 with sport seats...this car has something for every driver.

Very good car have 65 years old and this is my best car on my live. Before i drive Cadillac, Parck Avenue, Lincoln, ect have over 50 cars on my live. My futur car is the new Passat CC 2009

2007 Volkswagen Passat Review:
Look up "Plenum Filter Clog" Our 2004 Rife with electrical problems. Turns out many electronics are under floorboards (great German engineering) and some unaccessible filter called the "plenum" filter clogs causing this area to fill with water. Known issue among Passats. I was woken up this AM to the alarm screaming in 1" water on backseat floorboards. Also, Volkswagon sold us Onstar and the service was discontinued 2 years later. Great $800 option.

Quiet ride, reasonable fuel economy if you keep your foot off the throttle and manually shift the car. Avg. mpg in winter mixed driving 22 to 27 mpg, avg mixed driving in warmer weather above 40 degrees F. 24 to 34 mpg.

Have the front passenger seat back fold flat with fabric or leather seating.

VW has has winner here-- a car that seems impossible because it maximizes size, value, comfort, acceleration, sportiness and extraordinary gas mileage. The entry-level passat 2.0 Turbo offers almost all the options anyone could want at a price (after negotiating) of less than $24,000. That's like getting an Audi A-6 (but admittedly with the Audi A-4 drivetrain)for $20k less.

the timing chain tensioner bolt snapped off in the block at eight thousand miles. we were on vacation at time. we were stranded for a week. had to fly home. vw said they would pay all expenses. it cost me four thousand dollars. vw then said they werent paying anything. the timing chain wore a huge gouge in cover. the aluminum files went in the oil pan. vw refused to change the oil no less pull the pan. i am now suing for lemon law. vw has to have the worst customer satisfaction of any company. vw took the car from the dealership when i told them i was filing for lemon law so i dont have it for my case on friday.
