Everything on the car. It looked the same for 7 years. Toyota, you need a different looking highlander.

We all know it looks the same as the other ones, there is no difference. I returned the car the day after I got it. After that the new 2008 highlander came out. That was a great improvement.

beautiful ride. powerful engine. hybrid saves gas, averaging 28 mpg. stereo system sounds great on ltd edition.

Cons: How would you improve 2007 Toyota Highlander?
rear visibiliy is poor. back up camera should have been standard on 2007 models. cannot open door from inside without first unlocking all doors or by manually pressing button, unlike the Prius which driver door unlocks by pulling on the release door knob w/o having to unlock all doors. I wish it had a digital odometer.

great suv. however, I wish it some of the features the Prius 2006 had like Digital odometer, backup camera, better locking system w/smart key.

Needs telescopic wheel. I can't find a comfortable seating position. Also would remove the 2x4 they call an arm rest and put in a console.

Transmission and engine are on a different page. When its time to go there is a huge delay, then jerkyness. Trip recorder resets every time you stop car, dumb. Cant see speedometer with wheel in driving position,dangerous. Mode button for vents on wrong side of console and recirc button which is never used is close, dumb. Took car on 6 hour trip car would veer when I let go of the wheel, like it wasnt tracking correctly. 21 mpg hwy avf. speed 65mph. City 16.5

2007 Toyota Highlander Review:
Have almost 1000 miles on this car. My wife and I both have our doubts about how long we will have this thing. Trusted consumer reports and should have driven different stuff. Friends have Murano and GMC Envoy and both kill this thing on driveability. Too late now.

Add another 1 inch to seat length
Add aux plug with switch for IPOD, Telephone, bluetooth, add wood grain instead of 60's plastic, make rear window retractable, add wheel lock standard, add oil,lube, wheel rotation free of cost for 50k miles (5 years)

2007 Toyota Highlander Review:
I have driven only 150 miles. I did have 2 instences of jerky shift at low speed. I have not listened to wind noise etc or tried with 4 people in the car.

I like the smooth comfort ride and roomy interior. The curtain-side airbags coming standard now makes me feel more secure.
