Pros: What do you like about 2007 Suzuki Grand Vitara?
I LOVE THE WAY IT LOOKS.
IT ALSO DRIVES GREAT.
IT MAY BE SMALL BUT IT HOLDS A LOT. I WENT FROM A CAR TO THE VITARA AND I LOVE IT SO MUCH.
IT ALSO HAS ALL THE SAFETY FEATURES THAT I NEEDED FOR MY KIDS AND WIFE.

Cons: How would you improve 2007 Suzuki Grand Vitara?
MAYBE BETTER GAS MILEAGE.
AND MAYBE JUST A TAD BIT MORE POWER.
PLUS THE FUSE BOX IS IN A BAD SPOT - I CAN'T GET TO IT UNLESS I LAY ON THE FLOOR TO CHECK THE FUSES.
AND THE SEATS ARE A LITTLE HARD. THEY COULD BE SOFTER.

GREAT FOR A FAMILY SUV AND I WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO FRIENDS. SOME PROBLEMS BUT NO CAR OR TRUCK IS PERFECT. THEY ONLY LEARN FROM THEIR DEFECTS, SO HOPEFULLY ONE DAY IT WILL OUT DO ALL.

3/28/2011 The Gas milege needs to improve and the brakes (front & back), mostly back. The first year was great and now, not.
The air bag, mine went bad after the first year, they put a new one in and it was barely over a year when the replacement went bad. I carried my car back and cause of my mileage being over the limited there was nothing they could do. I was told to call Puerto Rico and was treated very nasty. I was told that there is a defect in the passenger side airbag but I was never told that. So now I am driving with NO passenger side airbag. I do not think I was treated fairly, my airbag went bad before my warranty was up and went bad in just little over a year from the replacement. I never heard about airbags going out that bad unless there is a defect. I was also told that they should have replaced it, but to no avail it has not.

Also the oil, for my first year of getting my oil change was ok, until one day I went in and the guy at the service department told me I should be using synthetic oil, it is recommended for Vitaras. I said ok, yes it is expensive but I wanted the best for my car and to last me. So for almost 3 1/2 yrs, I have been using synthetic oil and I was told it was the best. BUT it's NOT! I change my car oil on a normal bases and yet, every month or so I have to keep adding more synthetic oil, snythetic oil here is VERY expensive, $9.00 a bottle (qtr). I told it back to the dealership and they ran their test and can't find out what's the problem. I have no oil leaks, they is not oil drippings in car or on the ground, the oil is evaporating somehow or another. When I used regular oil (good kind) it was fine. So now I am going back to using the regular. Other than that I love my car. Thank you.

Just got it and I really like the way it drives but after reading some reviews on it, I'm holding my breath on the rear tire problem.

Car tows well behind a motorhome on all four wheels. Car gets 21.6 miles per gallon after 16K miles. Not great but certainly better than our old Ford Explorer.

Breaks are terribly noisy with much squeeling since we got the car. Taken back to dealer and all they say is they are safe, noise due to Suzuki brake pads. Next step will be to buy after market brake pads to see if this improves situation.

Rear window that opens.
Remove swing gate & put tire somewhere else.
Improve Gas Mileage !!! 18 MPG is about par.

2007 Suzuki Grand Vitara Review:
For a first year of a fully made over vehicle, very nice. However- some of the shortcuts they took were goofy. It really should have rear glass that opens. An auxiliary input jack (MP3/IPod) should have been included. (esp. since there is a button for it on the radio!!!) Worthless fuel economy meter-(instant). Overall an excellent value- Should give Honda & Toyota some stiff competition.
