Eight passenger and fold-down 2nd & 3rd row. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Saturn Outlook?
1. 5 speed transmission to reduce excessive shifting.
2. Non-computer operated throttle.
3. Re-circulation air switch needs remain to last-set position. 2007 Saturn Outlook Review:
I bought my 2007 Outlook thinking it would be a perfect car to haul my six grandkids around once in a while. The "new car feel" is probably the main reason all my senses were functioning when I drove the vehicle away from the dealer or I would have returned it.
I don't have any issues with the looks interior or exterior. The V-6 engine and 6 speed automatic along with the computerized acceleration/shifting system are very frustrating and annoying. This excessive shifting causes the engine to rev up/down continuously and is probably the main contributor for the poor fuel economy of 16.5 to 17 gpm most of the time. This vehicle down shifts from 6th to 5th or 4th gear anytime the driver attempts to go slightly faster. It actually slows down a bit when the throttle is pushed in gently. I estimate a good 3/4 to 1 inch of pushing in the throttle before it finally responds with an abrupt downshift and engine racing. Very BAD! |

We are on our second one because they had to replace our first one due to water leaking from the emergency brake area. Today, our second outlook started leaking in the same area - very frustrating for us!! 2007 Saturn Outlook Review:

The saturn is easy to handle and gets good gas milages for a SUV. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Saturn Outlook?
Gas door will not close sometimes. Need to have a pull release from the inside.Heating system need to be improved. Transmission lag is a great concern.How about a 8 cyl SUV.Center console is not user friendly. 2007 Saturn Outlook Review:

I Love the external appearance... especially in the white. I also like the ride and handling. The navigation system although expensive,is very good. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Saturn Outlook?
Door storage is hard to access. there are no handels on the anterior support bar to help the driver get in and out. Even though they are present for every other passenger in the vehicle.
Do not cover up access to the radiator colant tank. Use a stiffer less resistant leather on the front seats to make entry and exit easier. 2007 Saturn Outlook Review:
The overall weight, distrubution, design and balance of the car is excellent. I can live with the transmission lag once I got used to it. To these eyes the external appearance beats Buick and GMC. But that is a matter of taste. So far, I'm not sorry that I purchased the Outlook. But time will tell if these vehicles are reliable. Those of us who brought them during this the premire year of their initial release certainly hope so. |

more power with improved transmission to reduce excessive domnshifting 2007 Saturn Outlook Review:
vehicle downshifts excessively on any slight climb or even wind resistance. While using crusie control 60 to 70 mph, vehicle will down shift to 3 gear and hold it for long period of time even on flat road. When traveling between 30-55 mph, vehicle will down shift with the slightest increase in speed ( 1 mph. Noise of downshifting is very noticeable and obvious on tachometer. |
