The ride is great and very comfortable.
Gas mileage is good for the size of vehicle.
Vehicle looks good both inside and out. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Pontiac Torrent?
Rear back seats when folded down should be flat.
Peripheral vision is reduced because of large A frame on each side of windshield.
Cup holder should be re-designed to be more user friendly.
There should be a passenger side hand hold over the door. 2007 Pontiac Torrent Review:
Vehicle requires winter tires for driving in snow areas, they make a big difference.
My Torrent was taking in moisture especially in the spare tire wheel well and rear floor areas. It had to be returned for warranty repair, apparently it was a seal problem underneath. The dealer fixed it and it has been fine ever since.
It's too bad they stopped making them. |

Roomy interior.
No problem with snowy conditions with proper driving.
Outside is snazzy.
Good gas mileage.

Hate the red dash display, center cup holder pullout and armrest.

The Torrent has proven to be quite nice for my retirement and having fun with the grandchildren. It starts right up even after sitting out all night in below freezing temperatures so that I can get to my part time job just fine. |

WELL WHEN YOU CLOSE THE BACK THE WINDSHIELD WIPER COMES ON ALL BY ITSELF. AND THERE IS A PING IN THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE WHEEL WHEN YOU TURN IT THAT THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS. AND I HAVE HAD IT IN PLENTY OF TIMES TO BE FIX.
YES THE CHROME IS IN THE WRONG PLACE. IT DOES BLIND YOU AND NOT ENOUGH LIGHTING.
BE WARE IF YOU BRING ANY OF YOUR CONCERN TO THE CEO. THEY DON'T CARE. THEY GOT THEIR BAIL OUT. MY ENGINE MAKES A BAD SOUND. 2007 Pontiac Torrent Review:

I like the body style of the Torrent.
The inside design is poor.
The drink holders pull out of arm rest which suspends over ebrake and lower storage.
I like the leg room and that the rear seat can move up and back for more space. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Pontiac Torrent?
Move the drink holders to a sturdy solid base.
The lighting is not good when it is dark. You cannot see the door locks.
The traction in the snow is terrible and when trying to get up a slight incline in the snow the car looses power and seams to become idle. 2007 Pontiac Torrent Review:
I am disappointed with my 2007 Torrent. I have had an issue with water leaking into the rear floor, caused from a faulty seal from the spare tire housing.
I am experiencing an issue with wiring right now that seems to spreading from one side of the vehicle to the other.
It handles awful in the snow, and tonight when opening the passengers side door the outside handle fell off in my hand.
My wire issue has the speaker not working, the radio will only turn off manually not when you shut the car off. Power lock on drive door will not work, no turn signal sound do to speaker on driver side not working...The list seems to go on and on.

GAS MILEAGE IS O.K.
INTERIOR IS TOO NARROW.
CHROME GEAR SHIFT REFLECTS SUN, CAN BE A HAZARD.
RED LIT DASH IS TOO HARD TO SEE.
BACK SEAT FLOOR MATS ARE WET 3-4 X'S A MONTH WITH NO REASON OF EXPLANATION.
NO RAIN, NO PUDDLES, NO CAR WASHING. JUST BECOMES SOAKED. WHY? Cons: How would you improve 2007 Pontiac Torrent?
SEAL BODY BETTER. FIND OUT WHY ONLY THE BACK FLOOR CARPET GETS WET.
ADD WIDTH TO FRONT AREA.
CHANGE OUT RED DASH LIGHTS TO A MORE SOOTHING GREEN OR BLUE.
COVER GEAR SHIFT WITH A NON REFLECTIVE MATERIAL. 2007 Pontiac Torrent Review:
4- CAN NOT BE COMPLETELY HAPPY WITH REFECTION OF SUN ON GEAR SHIFT.
RED LIGHT DASH IS TOO HARD ON THE DRIVERS EYES AT NIGHT.
NOT ENOUGH ROOM FOR TWO PEOPLE WEIGHING BETWEEN 120 AND 180 IN THE FRONT. |

Styling.

The dusk sensor in the dash is not in the correct position - the dash lights are 'dimmed' during times of the day when it is sunny and it makes the stereo hard to see.
I also agree with another reviewer - the cooling system should stay on 'recirculate' once pushed instead of reverting back to 'fresh air' each time the vehicle is turned off.
Rear seats should lay flat when folded down. |

Look and handling Cons: How would you improve 2007 Pontiac Torrent?
Larger gas tank.
Quiet Brakes - no squeel.
Windshield fluid should pump out when cold.
Take lights on/off button off left arm and put on dash. Light up area where lights are and unlock/lock buttons are. Adjust netting in back - Latch comes into netting when you close hatch. Better gas mileage. 2007 Pontiac Torrent Review:
Gas tank too small for AWD - need to fill up too often. Brakes squeel - told me brake squeel was normal - what is normal about a brake squeel. Windshield fluid won't pump out when below 20 Degrees even have fluid good to 20 below. Netting in cargo area can't be used because part of door goes into it when closed. Can't see to unlock door in the dark. Can't see to adjust vehicles lights. Bad location for light on the left arm. Sometimes it gets turned off when using the vehicle. Put on dash. |

Change gray on gray dash guages for something more readable, cannot read in sunlight wearing sunglasses;fix inside/outside air flow button so it doesn't revert back to outside air each time you cut off engine as manual says to recirculate inside air for best results! In hot weather, button has to be pushed each time engine started!!
Super red dash should be toned down for night driving. 2007 Pontiac Torrent Review:
Generally a neat vehicle except for those annoyances. |
