I love the cargo space in rear and in the sport rack on top of the vehicle.

I have had this vehicle for one year, followed all maintenance guidelines and just noticed this week that the driver side window rattles like it has loose components. Also, each time I drive, my passenger side floorboard is soaking wet like water is pouring from someplace. The rear passenger leg room is tight. With three kids, one in a carseat, the extra room would be great. The vehicle also needs cargo sliders standard. Those are extras that you must purchase to keep your cargo from sliding around in the rear.

Overall, this SUV has been impressive. It was not my first choice of vehicles, but I was pleased with the drive when I took it for a spin. Now, I am wondering what is going on. My driver's side window rattles; the passenger side floorboard stays wet as if there is a hole in the floor someplace and when I turn the wheel, my vehicle squeaks (fluids are okay).

Pros: What do you like about 2007 Nissan Xterra?
The 2007 Xterra Off-Road is the first serious off road vehicle owned. Due to the lack of inventory on the East Coast of Florida, it had to be factory ordered and well worth the wait. Have only had it for about three months/2600 miles and with about 800 miles of it towing a small 6x10-cargo trailer loaded with close to 4,000 lbs. of cargo.
In both cases, the Xterra had great acceleration and power, super tracking and steering response even when towing at highway speeds. Not so great gas mileage, but that?ó?é¼?äós to be expected for this brute of a vehicle. Brakes are a little soft, but after a little practice and a few scary moments, found them to be very adequate.
Comfortable seating, good interior room and easy to clean cargo space. Nice roof rack and clever mud room, for those must carry camping accessories.
So far no problems or deficiencies to report, a solid off-road SUV with allot of positives and great value.

Cons: How would you improve 2007 Nissan Xterra?
The addition of a built in GPS system with mapping software and large viewable screen would be fantastic, also a built in cell-phone repeater amplifier for better communications and possibly needed assistance on those remote off-road adventures.

To new to give a full review but future trips to the Utah desert for some tough off-road adventures will separate the men from the boys.

The torque and horse power and locking rear end.

Put real Off Road tires on the Off Road model. Make a wind up window no frills model for us real off roaders. Give us more color choices with Earth colors. If I see another white, black, red, gray or blue xterra I will die of boredom.

2007 Nissan Xterra Review:
Give us real off road SUV's that get half way decent gas mileage. The people down under have better choices than we do. How come? I'm tired of auto makers giving us the same old same old every year by just bumping up the horse power a little and changing the appearance a little bit. Isuzu made a good little power pack off road SUV called the Vehicross. But they petered out not selling them anymore. Why the conspiracy? Give the consumer what we want for a change huh?

More adjustment to the driver's seat. (I am well over 6' and headroom can be a problem.)
