Most parts about the interior. The seats are a improvement over the previous car. Cons: How would you improve 2007 MINI Cooper S?
Reduce the ride height. The car looks too high of the ground. Almost appears like a small SUV. 2007 MINI Cooper S Review:
The exterior is "MINI" but not as "pure" as the out going version. More power and torque is good but at the expense of the "Noise and character" of the old car that was part of it's appeal. The center speedometer is bit too large but that does not bother me as much as the side vent "Pods" that patrude a bit too much. Also the center controls, HVAC really are bit overdone and whimsical looking. Not into the split of the toggle switches from one area on the old car. Now the functions are split from low to the roof. Love the ambient lighting! |

I love this car! It is fantastic. It is one of the best cars I have ever had. I traded in my BMW X3 for the Mini Cooper S and don't regret it at all. It feels like a BMW because it is a BMW and it is nearly green! Tremendous fuel efficiency. Not for the big squishy ride American car set. Its WAY better! |

I love the fact that both the front and rear sunroof pops open now instead of the front only. Cons: How would you improve 2007 MINI Cooper S?
Personally, I prefer the center controls (for A/C etc.) and the speedometer on the 2006 model over the 2007. I like the more "retro" look. 2007 MINI Cooper S Review:
They still need to figure out how to quiet the wind buffeting when the sunroof is open. Good luck having a normal conversation with your passenger. |

I have a 2004 MINI Cooper S and I LOVE it. I don't see how the engine could be any more powerful. I got the premium sport package and most all the options. The mini has more color choices that any other vehicle. My state does not have a Cooper dealership and they are all over the place. Love 'em love 'm!!! |

Fantastic handling, tons of power, good milage, head-turner looks, incredible value retention. Cons: How would you improve 2007 MINI Cooper S?
Armrest in the way of seat recliner lever, clutch engage point rather high off the floor, lots of road noise at freeway speed, option packages a bit expensive. 2007 MINI Cooper S Review:
This is my 3rd MINI and I must say that it is far superior to either the 03 or 05 models I owned previously. The new turbo engine is quick, the handling just as nimble, the ride quality much improved and smoother. I was a bit worried about the changes, but it's all good. |

Incredibly great handling and performance with no turbo lag. It corners like a 4 wheel motorcycle and is very quick when moving into traffic gaps. The side view mirrors are nicely done as is the greenhouse design for visibility. Very comfortable particularly with redwood leather lounge seats.
You feel bumpy roads but so what does not matter.
Basically a small complete BMW with a very intimate interior. Cons: How would you improve 2007 MINI Cooper S?
The speedometer is dinner plate size and oversize and it can be distracting if you let it. It needs to be made smaller given that the speed is also digital within the tachometer.
The vehicle needs atemperature gauge and a turbo boost gauge as standard equipment instead of idiot lights.
The sunroof is too much for hot climates. A simple mesh screen is all that separate the interior from the sun. Mini cooper dealers do not sell something to block the sun but you can buy it online or make your own from any kind of material.
I am not comfortable with the concept of run flat tires and would rather have a space saver spare and standard non run flats, but this would take up space that the car has little of anyway. |
