The thing is fast, I've had it over 150. Mine is the 2005, John Cooper Works Mini. Cons: How would you improve 2007 MINI Cooper S?
Make it easier to work on! 2007 MINI Cooper S Review:
It's to hard to get to anything like to change the oil. I don't like the sealed cooling system and have had a problem with the ac since day one. Also, the tail pipes stick out too far, I got burned and have to warn everyone when getting anything out of the back. Oxygen sensors, the dealer wanted over 600.usd to change the two on my car. I took it to another mechanic and he wanted 570.usd. I bought them on line, under 60.with the shipping. Car cost way too much to maintain. |

Go kart handling, decent fuel economy. Cons: How would you improve 2007 MINI Cooper S?
Fix the plethora of squeeks and rattles, improve ride smoothness. Traction control and stabaility control should not be controlled with one button, its all or nothing. You always want stability control but not always traction control. Stop moonroof from sticking closed in hot weather. Improve dealer service staff's capability and truthfulness. Fix engine gremlins, engine clatter on cold start, engine is also very loud (sounds like a diesel). Auto up windows were never an option on 2007 and most of 2008's, it should be a software upgrade but its not. Sunroof should auto open and close and the sun shade is pathetic. Oh and be careful with the exhaust tips, you'll get burned because BMW/MINI's engineers could not figure out that if they stick out past the bumber people might get burned. It took the Feds to threaten BMW/MINI with action for them to finally recall the cars after numerous customers got burned. 2007 MINI Cooper S Review:
Way over priced!!!!!!! Hassel (Freeport, NY) & Manhattan Mini have horrendous service technicians and advisors. MINI has no handle on their dealer network and lets them run wild abusing customers. The last BMW/MINI product I will ever lease/own! |

The appearance, especially with the 17" wheels and tires. The six speed automatic transmission is cool. Cons: How would you improve 2007 MINI Cooper S?
Either, a 150 hp diesel with the new six speed automatic. Or: 200 hp and still with mid 30's for mpg or more. An upgrade in seats. 2007 MINI Cooper S Review:
BMW has done wonders with this little car. They've done a nice job of upgrading this little car from what it was in the 60's. It just needs more power, along with tuning for mpg too. Having your cake and eat it too, mode. It's sporty, yet more refined than most would think. I just think, that in this day and age of $3.00 gas here in the USA, diesel should be considered. |
