Watch out for the cup holders and electronic parts on this car. Especially the design of its cup holders, any cups with liquid could be spilled into the GPS unit, that results in minimum of $7000 to fix it. Mercedes is not responsible for its ill design on the cup holders. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class?

I've owned Porsche 996's, Boxsters, BMW,s etc. and nothing comes close to the overall quality of the SL55 AMG. From acceleration to ride quality, it's simply superb. |

Stiffen the torsional rigidity. The car has a bit of flex. Additionally there is an electrical gremlin in the stereo. 2007 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class Review:
Although there are quicker and better overall performing exotics, as a true daily driver the SL 55AMG is very tough to beat. The car does everything you want it to and with the roof being able to effortlessly disappear, an owner has seemingly two cars for the price of (you fill in the blank). Simply put, the SL 55AMG is indeed the standard by which other two door coupes are judged. Although the V12 600 & 65AMGs are available, I would question the benefit of the additional complexity associated with those equally attractive alternatives. |

I've owned several high performance cars, including a 911 and an M5. This car is more satisfying all around. It is fast, solid, nimble, and the most luxurious car you can own. It is a great vehicle, and has been trouble-free. |
