| Pros: What do you like about 2007 Mazda Miata?
This car turns heads whenever I drive it. And to make peoples' eyes really pop, all I have to do is demonstrate that, in 12 seconds, after releasing the lock and pushing one button, I can have a convertible! It is SO much fun!
Driving this incredible car up and down and around on mountain roads is like no other driving experience. I have an automatic, and it shifts so smoothly I can't even feel it. It's fun to use the optional manual, too.
It is extremely nimble and zippy. It corners beautifully.
I get between 28 and 35 mpg, which is nice.
The trunk has a lot of useable space for such a small car.
I can wash the entire car in about 10 minutes because it's so small. Everything is easy to reach.
In summary, it's the look and feel of this car that makes it great. I smile all the time I'm driving! Cons: How would you improve 2007 Mazda Miata?
I was surprised by the roughness of the ride. I would have thought they could make it less jarring. I've gotten used to it, but it would be nice to have it smoother.
Given today's gas prices, I'm not overly excited that I have to use premium in this car.
There is not enough leg room for my husband (who is 5'11"). He cannot stretch his legs out fully, so we don't take the car on more than about an hour's trip. Between the cramped cabin and the rough ride, it's not a comfortable car for a long trip. (Besides, there's noplace for the dog!)
The cup holder on the door is useless for anything except a water bottle, and they stick up too high. The holders on the center console are too far back to reach comfortably.
The gas cap release lever is in a very awkward place, in the center behind the seat! Dumb place--I cannot release it without undoing my safety belt.
The interior is so small and it wasn't very well planned to put things in an ergonomic place. If I'm driving and have a passenger, there's no place to put even a small purse except by my feet or in the trunk. 2007 Mazda Miata Review:
I purchased this car as a replacement for a 1977 Mercedes 450SL. I wanted a convertible but didn't like the hassle of getting the top up and down on the Mercedes. Of course, the Miata is no Mercedes, but the driving experience is every bit as much fun, in a different way. |

Great looking. Nothing beats a red two seater convertible.
The 6 speed manual transmission is a blast to drive. Absolutely a blast to drive.
Seats are very comfortable and plenty of leg room.
Audio and cruise controls are easy to use on the steering wheel.
The soft top is a snap to put down and put up.

I bought this used as a second car and love every minute I'm driving it. Not as many bells and whistles as I'm used to, but who needs them when you're having this much fun driving. I appreciate the storage compartments behind the seats and as an FYI - those are bottle holders on the doors and not cup holders! Come on people! |

The only improvement I would suggest is a built-in garage door opener. 2007 Mazda Miata Review:
It's a SPORTS car!!! The only thing I had to get used to is the bumpy ride. You tend to overlook it because it's so much fun to drive. The sound system is great and the controls are very easy to use. We have the touring model (with upgrades) and it's just a nice as the grand touring. It definitely is a keeper! |

EVERYTHING! Fun to drive, looks spectacular, comfortable. I love the retractable hardtop - actually what got me out of my '99 Miata. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Mazda Miata?
The top sometimes squeaks. I wish it was the same size as the '99 - I like little! My gas mileage isn't as good as what Mazda says - but that might be the driver. Hard to drive conservatively in it! Wish the console was padded. 2007 Mazda Miata Review:

Just about everything. Looks great inside and out, absolute pleasure to drive, PRHT is about as cool as it gets. Fit and finish was flawless. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Mazda Miata?
I have the optional 6 CD Bose sound system and have experienced door speaker vibration. Seems like the speakers could have been a little better. I would also like to see a combination IPod/MP3 player plug in. Having a little bit more horespower would also be a plus. 2007 Mazda Miata Review:

I'm not crazy about the cup holders - but I remember when cars didn't have 'cup holders'. 2007 Mazda Miata Review:
I'm more concerning about the performance and longevity of the vehicle along with ease of driving and gas mileage than I am about a cup holder. That being said, this car has it all. I never even test drove the Sky or Solstice, even though I had my eye on them. I was sold from the get-go with the MX5. This is my first MX5 but it won't be my last. |

The look! The incredibly easy-to-use retractable hard top, which is great for Pacific Northwest weather--sun one minute, showers the next. The power is great for zipping in and out of traffic, but being so low takes some getting used to when you are surrounded by 18-wheelers on the freeway.
Love the wind screen that keeps the turbulence down a little when the top is down.
Gas mileage, especially on a trip that is mostly freeway driving, is very good.
It handles so effortlessly, and I love zipping around mountain roads. My automatic shifts so effortlessly and quietly that I have to look at the digital readout to know what gear I'm in.
The Copper Red Mica color gets all kinds of stares and questions. It's very classy. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Mazda Miata?
I would add legroom. It's not too bad on the driver's side, but I'm 5'5". My husband, at 5'11", is uncomfortable in the passenger seat and even the driver's seat doesn't offer him room to stretch out his legs.
The cup holders in the door are a joke.
I would add a little insulation or something to quiet the ride.
Make it so it doesn't require expensive premium gas.
Somehow, fit in a spare tire. The run-flat tire scares me, and the little repair kit seems awfully complex in an emergency situation. 2007 Mazda Miata Review:
I got this to replace a classic 1977 Mercedes 450SL. This seems awfully small at first, but it's such fun! And the retractable hard top makes it so practical in the Pacific Northwets (yep, that's how we spell it here!).

1st 2 generations have been great, but 3rd generation MX5 is fantastic.Very comfortable and performance is greatly improved. Auto/Manual transmission is a perfect combination for the sport shifter and for the casual drive around town driver. I had a 2002 SE and loved it, but........ it was time to let go and enjoy more comfort and Grand Touring enjoyment. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Mazda Miata?
My only future expectation would be to have more horse power. I would like to see a 6 cyl.250 HP in the near future. 2007 Mazda Miata Review:
