Better braking. 2007 Jeep Wrangler Review:
We have a 2000 Jeep Wrangler that our daughter drives. It has been flawless with the inline 6 and 90,000 miles. We gave it to her after a couple of years because it was too small and not practical.
Enter the new 4 door. I was excited about the Toyota Fj and Toyotas reputation for quality and reliability. But in the process of shopping around I looked into the new Wrangler 4 door unlimited. VERY IMPRESSIVE! The extra room was just right the added features of power windows and locks and much improved stereo was awesome. The engine is quiet and smooth and powerful enough. I have no problem passing and towing a trailer. MPG has averaged 18 in very windy conditions. I have had the black 4 door Wrangler for 2 weeks now and have never had this kind of response from passerbys.
It is a Jeep. Ride is much improved but stil a Jeep. I love the new interior but it is still a Jeep and lacking holders. But that's the point. It's a Jeep. The freedom top is awesome and summer driving is a blast. I had a chance to test drive a 4 door Wrangler during a late WI winter snow and handling was perfect.
My best friend is a gear head and thought I was crazy thinking of the Jeep over the FJ. He had convinced my wife that I might be making a mistake. She in turn convinced me to re think my love affair with the Wrangler. The Saturday I decided to make a final decision I took out the FJ and it convinced me that it was the perfect vehicle even though the top does not come off. I met my buddy at a parking lot and we both drooled and decided that home life would be better with the FJ. I told him I was taking out the Jeep one last time and since he lived by the dealership I would bring it by.
This was classic. In less than 10 seconds after seeing the Wrangler in his drive way he picks up his jaw and exclaims "I've never seen one in person. I can't believe I'm saying this, I was wrong, there is no comparison" Long story short we ended up setting up lawn chairs around the Jeep so we could look at it and he got up grabbed his camera so he could take pictures of it. I called the dealership and said I wasnt bringing it back.
My own gut feelings told me to buy the Wrangler. The research I did from owners said BUY IT. That's important. Listen to owners not experts. It is a new motor and I don't know what to think about reliablity. I bought the extended warranty and now have bumper to bumper coverage for 100,000 miles so I'm not worried. Jeep did an awesome job of bringing the Wrangler up to 2007 yet keeping the Jeep mystique. Bravo! |

It's fun and almost everyone loves my jeep. I love being able to drive over things not because I need to, but just because I can. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Jeep Wrangler?
The toughest thing is getting into the backseat. I think a small compartment to hold things in between the front seats would be nice. |

It's a blast to drive and gets thumbs up everywhere I go. So far has excellent resale value. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Jeep Wrangler?
Outside mirrors retain water and need to be redesigned. The soft top is still somewhat a hassle to take off/put on. 2007 Jeep Wrangler Review:

styling, fun to drive,
off road it's simply awesome. the 3.8 liter engine is adequate, and good at low end torque for off roading, but not a hotrod. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Jeep Wrangler?
needs a bigger engine option, like a v8 hemi. The 3.8l should be the base engine with bigger engines as options. Many would be willing to pay. I would.
Gas mileage is horrible.

This is a truly fun SUV, both on and off road. Off road this Jeep performs extremely well completely stock, and with a few aftermarket modifications, the performance can be personalized to the taste and style of the owner. Very easy to work on and install aftermarket goodies. This thing turns heads more than any vehicle I have ever known. |

It is the only "true" off road offering left sold in the US. I would have preffered a defender 90, but This is nearly as good. The power is OK for my daily commute, the milage is acceptable, and compared to the 2500 Cummins Dodge it replaces, it handles quite nice around town. This is far and away the best driving jeep I have ever run. I love the room in the 4door, and would recommend this 100% over an "urban assult vehicle" like the H3. I test drove both, and find the H3 to be something pretty much useless for off-road use. It is designed to make other suburban Moms feel inadequte,and, like all IFS vehicles, pretty much usless off-road(H1 aside). Cons: How would you improve 2007 Jeep Wrangler?
Install 4 inch lift on Rubicon models from the factory to regain breakover loss due to the longer WB. Imrove the mounting of the soft-top support straps- 3 pop rivits is a joke, even for a US made vehicle(mine have broken twice in 2000 miles) More torque at lower RPM.
Deeper center console,
U-joints- Dump the driveshaft CV's (what were they thinking?)
Narrower fenders would look better with stock tires, and DOT legal beadlocks-stock! (just kidding) 2007 Jeep Wrangler Review:
If you are REALLY going to off-road your new vehicle, this is the best new vehicle you can get to this end (in the US), period. Nothing else even comes close. However, if you just want to LOOK like you "wheel", and take a few unimproved roads to a campsite, there are better performing "street" SUVs |

2. Sectional removable top.

1. New fuel efficient motor.
2. Lighter colored hardtops--dark ones are a sweat box--not insulated.
3. Headroom in front seat is zero.
4. Metal bumpers instead of cheap plastic.
5. Better colors of paint--choices are poor to awful.
6. Use old Sahara logo--new one is girlish.
7. Cheap plastic covers over rear cargo door hinges.
8. Larger side mirrors of older models were better.

new 3 piece hard top is a definite bonus. the new interior is great. seats are comfortable and have an up and down adjustment. new wrangler is also quieter than past models. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Jeep Wrangler?
jeep advertises items that are not available including the bluetooth. prefer the older style mirrors, which give you better site. 2007 Jeep Wrangler Review:

Old model rear seat access by front passenger side sucks. The front seat belt is hook to the bottom of the front seat and trys to snare anyone attempting to get into the rear seat 2007 Jeep Wrangler Review:
