| Pros: What do you like about 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
1. Sharp exterior design and incredible feeling of security in bad weather (heavy rain, snow) and superior forward lighting at night. Handles superior to our 01 Jeep GC, much more comfortable on highway trips.
2. Towing performance with 4.7L 300+ ft lbs of torque to pull our boat/trailer.
3. Interior is practical. X package great value with remote start, leather power front seats (would have preferred NO sunroof for tall driver to get 2 more in headroom however but not an option). Cons: How would you improve 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
1. More rear legroom and comfort of seats. 3 adults is tight.
2. Improve mpg. E85 really not worth it even in midwest; no improvement since lose 20% mpg. However on side roads @ 60mph can easily get 22-24mpg w/reg gas, compared to 19-20mpg at 70mph freeway speeds. So Drive the speed limit & save, and be safer! 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Review:
We have owned our 07 Jeep new since Oct 07 and are quite happy with it delivering what we needed. We typically have 2 adults occupying the heated leather front seats and pull our mid size boat 35 miles to the lake in the summer every other weekend.
In the winter we are dealing with frequent snow/ice on back country blacktop MN roads. The Jeep handles it all very well.
Other pros/cons are mentioned in those sections.
Be prepared to pay for extra gas on the small 4.7L V8 but it's worth it only slightly worse mpg than the V6 and 20% better around town than the 5.7L Hemi.
Quality so far has been very good with only one minor power window auto-up function requiring service in 23,000 miles. Jeeps do require frequent expensive differential & transfer case service on their rather old design drivetrain, important if you have the lifetime warranty options offered in 07-09 (dropped in 2010 models) - be prepared for $100 x 2 for the differentials at least every 30,000 miles IF you don't do water fording offroading and $300 more for the tranny/transaxle at 40,000 miles. These vehicles are tough and dependable however, and lately they have very attractive incentives on price.
Note a new design appears in 2011 but only an improved V6 and the hemi V8 are left for engines, pricing TBD. |

There is a loud wind noise when traveling over 45 mph coming from top side.Like your in a wind tunnel test.Nothing is leaking yet it has this noise. |

I recently purchased a 2007 Diesel Grand Cherokee Limited and am truly amazed at what a good job Jeep has done with the Mercedes CRD engine. I don't think the marketing is quite correct on the highway mileage. I'm getting 30MPG on the highway with 376Ft Lbs of torque. That's twice the mileage of anything out there. In 4 low this thing is a tank, but on the highway it is as smooth as a normal passenger vehicle. I think people are going to catch on very quickly to the benefits of this vehicle. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
People have said in the past that the instrumentation could be updated. My thoughts on this is the instrumentation is perfect for an off road vehicle, uncluttered and easy to understand. The primary focus of driving is to keep your eyes on the road not trying to figure out how to lower the volume on your Nav System. 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Review:

I bought one in 2005 and I'm still strugling with a defective electrical system that affects the the inside panel / dash. It blinks, sporadically, causing the engine and air conditioning system to stop. Neither Chrysler (Detroit) nor the Dealership has been able to find the root cause of the problem. See the NFTSA complaint record for this model. I'm in a process of filing a complaint with the state's Consumer affair department and file a lawsuit to get my money back and stop putting my family at risk of a car accident. |

i get very respectable mileage from my '07 jeep grand cherokee limited 4x2 hemi. so far at 4200 miles i am getting a combined 18.5 mpg. 16+ in town and i have gotten 22 on the interstate at 70 mph-and the engine is not even broken in yet. i have a cold air intake installed, flowmaster muffler, amsoil synthetic oil and the fitch fuel catalyst-so those items are working.
the jeep handles very well-i have gotten used to it-rides so smooth-but can take curves as well. quiet, powerful, luxurious, put together her in the usa. |

This is the 3rd Jeep my wife and I have had. The change in body from the 2001 to the 2005 was tremendous. The 2007 is virtually the same as the 2005. I love the ride and the power of the Jeep. The little added features compared to the 2005 (the rear 'back up' alert lights) are very nice. I also love the color we chose (Red Rock). The Hemi is awesome and we love having a vehicle that can carry a lot of cargo. I would never have thought in 2001 when my wife got her Jeep that I would be so in love with the Jeep name now. The change in ride and features over that time...I am definately a loyal Jeep customer now and it will take a lot to convert me to another SUV. In fact, my wife and I assisted my younger cousin in his lease of a new (his first vehicle) Jeep Liberty this month...he said he was attracted to the Liberty based on our Jeep Grand Cherokee. |

A better selection of interior colors along with better quality leather upholstry. Follow the example of the new Tahoe and Yukon's leather upholstry quality and colors. Jeeps leather looks cheap and colors are unimaginative and bland. |
