Sonata V6. Very good performance on highway.
Decent interior roomy.
After three years with this vehicle....nothing has been an issue, I only drive, and drive without any concerns..... DEPENDABLE & RELIABLE.
I love the looks and even my friends have said they like this car.
I would say for the money you get very good acceleration and braking.
Steering and handling are OK.
I love the fact that it is one of the safest vehicles, specially for the deadly side impacts.
I would say this is a simple working car with some muscle that makes me feel confident every time I hit the road.
I plan on keeping this one for at least 10 years, then buy an Audi or BMW (I love these too), but still then, I am going to have the Sonata for Winter because I know it's gonna last for some more years.

Gas mileage is not really so great in the city.
I only had an issue initially with the computer that calculated the weight to activate or deactivate the front passenger airbag, but it would appear that it readjusted the settings by itself; still, Hyundai offered to change it for free. 2007 Hyundai Sonata Review:

It is very smooth. It does take bumps a tad bit harder than a van or truck but it takes them well for a mid-size car. If you get fabric, it is softer than the leather. I have the leather. The carpet doesn't stain easily. Kids spill kool-aid all the time, and I don't have one stain. The limited edition is the smoothest of them, all but also wasn't more gas - 29 mpg hwy. it has very good acceleration and good braking time. It doesn't take a lot to keep the car running. It just needs oil changes every 6,500 miles or 5 months for the first 60,000 miles, then it needs a few other things but not much. My car is allways on the go - I have put 51,000 miles on my car. Since I have had it and havent spent 1,000 dollars on it since 2007, so that tells you that it is good for your wallet so overall.

I bought a2007 sonata ayear ago. The last three weeks I broght back to the dealer because the engine light goes on. They told me that a spider had damage a valve. This happed three times now. Is it possible that a spider can damage the whole system? what are my options? I don/t want this car anymore. |

Looks - inside and out. power and transmission. great headlights! Good sound system (I don't have the sub woofer) Room. large trunk. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Hyundai Sonata?
Longer driver's seat (more thigh support. ability to manually adjust "automatic darkening" rear view mirror. Much better rear seat cupholders. Add "cup holder bulges" to inside of front door stowage area like many minivans have. Ride is VERY smooth when road is smooth. It takes bumps pretty hard. All dashboard lights need to dim with the speedometer & tach lights (including the too bright cruise control light). The "passenger airbag" light never goes off when there is no passenger, and most of all - the VERY ANNOYING, WAY TOO LOUD, CAN'T MOVE AN INCH WITHOUT IT seat belt chime. I always wear mine, but don't need to be dunned when simply starting the car and/ or moving into the garage. 2007 Hyundai Sonata Review:
I would buy it again in a minute. Looks great, drives great. I tried the Camry, Accord, and Saturn - Hyundai is better. |

For years I avoided Hyundai because of the early reputation from the 1986 models. Times have changed and Hyundai makes a sharp looking, well engineered vehicles. At alomst 18,000 miles, it has not been to the dealer for a single problem.
Performance is peppy, handling, cornering is great. To get all the features the Sonata Limited has, I'd have to spend $10000 more for another make. ESC is good to have when the need arises. It kicked in once during an accident avoidance maneuver that would have been a disaster in some other cars. I'd buy this model again. |
