| Pros: What do you like about 2007 Honda Odyssey?
Very comfortable to drive, reasonable performance.
We chose the Odyssey over the Sienna due to the 2nd row seating: best seats and leg room of all we looked at. Most vans if you're an adult riding in the second row for long trips it can get very uncomfortable. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Honda Odyssey?
Road noise is excessive, (seems to be a common complaint with Honda's overall), inexcusable in this day.
Horrible place to put the gas door release latch (down on the floor at the drivers left foot), tons of room to put something at the dash level.
Gas gauge is way off: indicates 'E' and light comes on when you still have a 1/4 of a tank (max 300 miles between fill-ups. We put 30K per year on our vehicles, that's 100 gas station stops per year with this van). 2007 Honda Odyssey Review:
Overall we have been disappointed with our Odyssey: the gas door latch broke literally day one of ownership, had to drive to the dealer to fill the car the first two weeks of ownership before they could repair it. Proprietary TPMS (only dealer): Honda dealer wants $90.00 to change codes when we change from summer to winter tires, almost any other brand of vehicle the tire stores can do it for free.
Clunking noise from engine compartment when accelerating or breaking (been there since it was new). At 75K we had to replace the power steering pump: checking the forums this doesn't seem to be an uncommon problem for Odysseys. Now we have a new popping noise from what appears to be the right front. You would expect these issues on a car with 150-200K miles, not one with only 75K miles. It is the worst snow and ice car we've owned, even with 4 studded snow tires in winter it has trouble with traction. During hard acceleration such as passing, the car gets squirrley and unpredictable.
Don't think we'll buy another one. With the exception of comfort and interior room, this van makes the 03 Windstar we replaced look pretty good in comparison. |

Lots of room for the kids.
We love our Odyssey in the summer.
Loads of room for cargo when traveling. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Honda Odyssey?
Slides all over in the snow, no traction. We have had sudden acceleration and our brakes seize up. We have no control over the van when it does this. Dealership says there is nothing wrong.
The sliding doors stick all the time.
I would not suggest that anyone buy a Honda Odyssey Touring, we do not feel safe in our van. I am terrified to drive it especially with our children in the van. |

Get rid of the Pax tires. Had the Touring for 25000 miles and it was shaking. took it in to have it looked at and was told that I needed 2 new tires. $300+ each!! Not including labor. Tried to find them somewhere else and NO ONE can put them on except a Honda dealership, if they have the equipment. 2 weeks after finding this out we traded it in for a 2008 Touring with out the Pax tires, which is now an option....go figure!! 2007 Honda Odyssey Review:

Remove tire pressure monitoring system!!! It doesn't work. Bad design. 2007 Honda Odyssey Review:
Tire pressure monitoring system warning light (TPMS) is on on dashboard. Dealer cannot fix it for over 2 weeks now. Bad sensor, bad pressure transmitters, bad computers, bad test equipments, etc. This is hopeless. Honda should remove this feature from my car free of charge and install normal wheels.
This system simply doesn't work and causes a lot of problems. Major disappointment from Honda!!! |

Have Touring model - back-up video is impossible to visualize during day; clock is difficult to read and in poor position;closing read doors with outside door handle difficult for older weaker people (should have a button like the Ford Freestar); storage bin between mid seats should be between front seats - it's not utilizable for two person owners OR have container bins for both row of seats; the turntable gizmo is ridiculous and most inconvenient to use!!!! 2007 Honda Odyssey Review:

Very comfy, drives very nice for such a big vehicle. Nice standard features (EX-L). It's a Honda - I owned an Accord, bought a Mercedes E class, then bought an ACCORD, nuff said for Honda. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Honda Odyssey?
EX-L should come with daylight rear mirror, passenger electric seat, MP3 jack, power rear hatch, MPG monitor and auto headlights for the $$$.. Not huge upgrades - this is just basic stuff. They could trick out the Touring more to distance it from teh EX-L for the $$$ 2007 Honda Odyssey Review:
Great Utility Vehicle, we use it to travel to our lake home with ths dogs every weekend. Quieter than our 2005 Accord, but a bit "doggy" since it's a 3.5. Fuel economy admirable (got 25.4 on the HWY with 220 miles on the odometer). A respectable vehicle for the price which is VERY reasonable compared to the SUVS - which get HORRIBLE milage. Check the MPG in 2008 folks, the truth is being told and the nubers are dropping on most! |

The seats are comfortable. Some of the features are nice but not worth the money and also kind of worthless. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Honda Odyssey?
The brake pedal is horrible and the 1st row seats need to fold down in the floor everyone else is doing it they should to. Electrical problems all the time. We are up to # 3 for the doors not working correctly and then maybe they will have to give us a different van. 2007 Honda Odyssey Review:
I think for the price they are the biggest rip off. I drove my van for 1 month and then there were electrical problem left and right and also there is truly no room in the back row. |

Head lights that automatically shut off if left on accidentally. More features on basic model such as distance to empty info etc. These were standard on other vans we have owned on base models. |

Reduce road noise
Eliminate shock noise;
One touch up/down windows;
Power adjustable passenger seat; the jack's raising and lowering design is a real knuckle buster and needs to be revisited for improvement. BMW uses a similar technique to raise the vehicle but uses a different jack design; it uses a crank design which places the operator's hands up and away from the pavement, and its much easier to operate. 2007 Honda Odyssey Review:
The Odyssey is a joy to drive and is comfortable during short and long trips. My complaints thus far concerns road noise, front wheels out of balance, and annoying shock noise - clunking noise as the van passes over lightly uneven road surfaces. More pronounced on cooler days and less apparent when the van has been driven several miles and also when the temperature is hot. This is my first Honda so I don't know whether the shock noise is common or is something that can be corrected by the dealership; I have not addressed this problem with the dealer thus far. Also, I like the wheels on the EX-L but I dislike the balancing technique (use of stick-on weights) on this wheel when having to add weight to outside wheel area. I wax my wheels to protect them from brake pad dust and I'm concerned that this practice will cause problems when the wheels require re-balancing. |
