not much. It dies and needs to be towed when it hasn't been driven on the highway. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid?
Be open and honest with potewntial buyers that the Honda needs to be driven on highways to charge the battery. 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid Review:
I took my 2007 Honda b ack to the dealer after owning it a couple of weeks because it rarely went on auto stop and it barely got 32 mph when the sticker promised 49-61. I was told the car needed to be broken in. I asked how the engine worked and the service person did not know. Two weeks later, the car wouldn't start. I had it towed to Honda. They had to reprogram the computer and told me the battery wasn't charged this the car wouldn't start. They told me that the only way to charge the battery was to drive on the highway. I rarely drive on a highway and feel its a waste of gas to drive aimlessly on a highway to charge a battery. I bought a hybird because I wanted to be green. This is not green behavior. |

Given its high efficientcy, not a thing. 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid Review:
A fantastic vehicle. Nothing ever gets what the government say it will get in toerms of mileage and given that knowledge the hybrid does a fantastic job. The new CVT transmission is a pure pleasure giving transisitions between engine/motor a smoother way to go. Anyone buying a hybrid for performance reasons is a little touched anyway. This is a car with which to contribute something positive to our environement. |

Reduce road noise; add sensors to rear bumper to detect obstructions when backing up the car--it's a bit hard to see what is behind you when backing up the car. 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid Review:
Overall an excellent small sedan for anyone looking for high fuel economy and low pollution. Price is higher than it should be but the current tax credit is worth it while the full credit of $2100 lasts. I found it was nearly 5-10k less money than current Toyota hybrids. My wife especially likes it because it looks just like a standard gas engine model Civic. All they need to do to improve it is offer an ultra low sulfur diesel engine that is setup with the same IMA hybrid technology. I think if done right this would provide more power and even better fuel economy. |

It's hard to tell how far the hood sticks out in front of you due to the way it slopes down. Also, allow headrest to adjust back & forth instead of just up and down. |

The MPG, had a 2006 and traded for the 2007 it has 5600miles now and just starting to get a decent average (40) will get better around 10,000 miles, averaged with 2006 46-48mpg, light foot slow stops. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid?
Make sure the dealer tints windows, add more power to the low end. Have a dealer oil change milage, not just the % used. I have a hard time with the lenth of miles between oil changes. 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid Review:
Theis is my second one, love the car, milage is great after 10K break in, average 40-45K miles a year, going from my Dodge P/U I am able to pay for the car just in fuel savings. I traded at 43,000 so can't tell about long term, but had no rattles or problems with the car, and went with another same/same. If they hold up I will continue to drive a hybrid, and keep the money in my pocket not the oil company's. Plenty of leg and arm room in the inerior, I compared to others, Toyota (ugly), then took specs and made a line chart with interior and exterior dimensions, very comperable to MB, Volvo, VW and Lexus if you compare the smaller cars. Drove most and still settled for the Civic Hybrid. |
