2007 GMC Yukon

Pros: What do you like about 2007 GMC Yukon?
I have the Yukon XL Denali, bought it Jan 08 first owner off the lot.
Still like the truck the same as the day I drove off w/ it.
Very easy to drive for the size of the vehicle.
Very roomy and handles like a smaller car w/ big truck power.
Very sporty yet classy look.

Cons: How would you improve 2007 GMC Yukon?
I would make the hitch/tow package cover stronger...mine fell off in about 1 year. Very, very, cheap cover.

Where do I start? The finishing on this vehicle is terrible. Rear tail lights have literally fallen off. The black bulky plastic trim above the rear lights have been replaced due to a very cheap and terrible design. The defroster is dangerous! Drive the Yukon in a powerful snow storm and see what happens...the windshield blades ice up instantly because the defroster blows hot/warm air half way up the windshield and not at the bottom-up like most vehicles. Forget about 3rd row seating...it's a joke. The removable seats sit flat in the back cargo space. Unless you have no legs, there is no where to put your feet! Took them out the first day I got the truck...useless. Had to replace several O2 sensors under warranty. Transmission seal replaced under warranty as well. When you drive around a corner and hit a bump in the pavement, the truck will literally "jump" and not hold a safe and straight line....very dangerous! Exaggerated greatly as your speed increases. Eats brakes for lunch. Next set will be "heavy duty". The standard GM brakes are too small for the weight of this vehicle. Transmission is not smooth at all when starting from a full stop...I'm worried. Get rid of the tire pressure monitors as they are a total pain!

2007 GMC Yukon Review:
For the money I thought that there was no other big truck in its class that could compete. Generally speaking this is true, however...the Yukon is built cheap and will probably look well beyond its age before it should, especially in the interior. First (and most likely last) N. American vehicle that I have purchased. Should have gone with the Sequoia from Toyota.

I love my Yukon for overall size and comfort, just not very reliable.
Big enough for my entire family.
Love the layout of the interior.
DVD player is great when you have kids.

Lots of problems with it using oil, add engine oil light comes between the 3,000 mile oil changes. It starting doing this around 50,000 miles. We have taken it in for repair several times to the dealer, each time they assure me it will fix the problem. It hasn't yet. I am now at 66,000. Guess they are going to wait out the 100,000 mile warranty. Others in my town have told me their 2007 model is doing the same thing. Seems like their is constantly a light on involving something on the dash. Low oil, battery, stabilization, antilock brakes.

I think GMC needs to address the issue of oil consumption with the 2007 GMC Yukons and Surburbans. Love the room and comfort, hate the unreliability.

the 2007 yukon has lost it quality thisis four yukon i have owned over last 15years and will never purchase another one my new car has been in shop 12 times in 10 months hope to sell as soon as possible and move on.
