| Pros: What do you like about 2007 Ford Freestyle? Size, flexibility, ride. Interior layout, seats, fuel economy all great. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Ford Freestyle? Some of the plastics inside seem cheap, oddball tire/wheel size. I can see why some would wish for more power but it is no contest with a 2008 Civic! 2007 Ford Freestyle Review: I just bought a 2007 FWD SEL with 96 000 km and really love it. It's the minivan for people who hate minivans. Or the plus-sized wagon that nobody else offers. With a few other crossovers that seat 7, none to me seem as attractive as the Freestyle.
It is truly a pity that Ford discontinued them. I will try to keep mine as long as humanly possible, maybe even replace it with another if it were to die on me.
Here in Montreal, winter tires have become mandatory and it's hard to find some for a reasonable price. When you have 2 child seats in the car and a stroller at all times, there is still room for 3 more adults and/or groceries, etc. But I desperately was not ready for a minivan yet, and I may never be. They're generally ugly and clunky. To me this seems like a prefect blend of SUV, minivan and sedan. One of the 'truest' crossovers on the market. Too bad they didn't sell enough! Those who own them often love them to pieces.
I had to replace the alternator when I bought it and the dealership sold it with winter tires (in August!) so I needed a set of all seasons. Now with winter on the way I am planning to buy the snow tires and dedicated steel rims (also hard to find). I really have no complaints, though I think the AWD Limited or Taurus X must be a little more fun to drive.
Having said that, I'll take my FWD/CVT fuel economy over the long run. About the CVT: some reviews have trashed it because of the pre-programmed ride. In reality, the acceleration is super-smooth at the expense of FEELING the car's responsiveness. For a family hauler, this does NOT present a problem for me. Sporty driver (ie. single males) would probably object most to the ride/power. The ergonomics of the interior are excellent and I find it feels like a luxury package compared to the Civics and Outbacks I am used to driving. |

| Pros: What do you like about 2007 Ford Freestyle? Before I mention what I like, it's important to say I've owned dozens of cars in many parts of the world.
What I like: Seats & seating in general, the heated seating is brilliant in winter. Some have mentioned blind spots, personally I think it's your driving position, with my mirrors set correctly I've had no problems, also ... try moving your head and stay off the phone. I like the clean lines of the car, simple is better. Cargo room is superb. Gas mileage is good, I'm getting upwards of 28 highway & 22 in town, it's all in your foot. Ride hight is very good too I think. It corners very well, no need to back off on a curve, just squeeze the gas a little, you'll grip in and hold the line.
Basically .... I love the car. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Ford Freestyle? I'd replace the 3.0 ltr with a 3.5 ltr engine, it just needs a little more "get out of trouble" power. GPS as standard, why would you not want one?. 18" wheels as standard. Improve the ride a somewhat, firm suspension is great for road holding and cornering but a pain in the but on rough roads, it just needs softening up a bit. I'd try and reduce the overall weight of the car, thereby improving gas mileage, it can be done. 2007 Ford Freestyle Review: Great car, the Taurus X is almost the same, but uglier interior. Dump the chrome Ford, it looks cheap. I'm keeping my 2007 SEL Freestyle till the wheels drop off. |

| Pros: What do you like about 2007 Ford Freestyle? Handling in the winter weather. It is my choice for slick icy roads. It has a lot of room inside for family and luggage. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Ford Freestyle? Not the car Ford themselves on how they handle their customers. 2007 Ford Freestyle Review: I have had my Freestlye to repair shop twice, once for alternator and battery replacement, costing about 1100.00. The second trip was for our throttle body part that went out on our vehicle with only 44500 miles on it. We were informed that it could take 6 months to get part for. With service manager's help we were back in car within 1 week. Plan ahead for repairs. Ford customer service line wiped there hands with the situation because we did not have extended warranty on car. It was okay with them to be without a car for 6 months. There is a big problem for the newer cars getting parts due to parts distributors closing and going bankrupt. There were about 6 to 7 other customers at our dealership that had to wait and were without cars. Over all I am happy with the car. I hope this bump is the only bump that happens. |

| Pros: What do you like about 2007 Ford Freestyle? Plenty of room for the kids and dog. Comfortable seating - love the heated seats! I love the versatility of the seats. Can fit a kayak in it- twin mattresses in it. Leather seats are easy to clean, lots of cup holders for backseat passengers. Back seat temp control. Held up very well in a car versus deer incident. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Ford Freestyle? Could use a heated steering wheel- alas, I have been spoiled. One of those built in trailer hitches and I seem to have a persistent issue with my brakes. 2007 Ford Freestyle Review: 2007 AWD. This has got to be the only car I can say fits my every need. I have had it for over a year, did the brakes once- fixed the deer damage. I was heartbroken when I thought I had totaled the vehicle. I liked my car. I think you either like it or you don't. |

| Pros: What do you like about 2007 Ford Freestyle? Good passenger room. Excellent cargo space. Surprising fuel economy for large vehicle. Also surprising pickup from 203 HP. Very good road manners. Nicely finished interior. Excellent safety record. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Ford Freestyle? Larger gas tank than present 19 gallon tank would be appreciated. HVAC controls unnecessarily confusing. 2007 Ford Freestyle Review: We purchased a used fwd 2007 Freestyle w. 13K miles (after road testing new Flex and 2008 Taurus X) because of our very favorable experience with a leased awd 2006 Freestyle. We actually prefer the 3L engine and CVT to the 3.5L and 6 speed of the 2008 models. Freestyle may be slightly slower, but fuel economy has been excellent, 20-22 around town and 26-28 on way to cottage and back w. full load and 4 passengers. Put 30K on the first car, have 20K on the 2007 -- both have been flawless. Just put in gas and go. Love the cars!! |

| Pros: What do you like about 2007 Ford Freestyle? Roomy. I'm a pharma sales rep and there is plenty of room for literature, samples, etc. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Ford Freestyle? This may be a lemon, but the car has less than 45,000 miles on it and has already had numerous major problems. The transmission fell apart at 29,000 miles. The entire transmission was relaced and it took the dealership 4 months to do it. Brakes had to be replaced at under 5,000 miles...twice. Now the car has no heat...zero...just blows clod air. It is in the shop again and has been there 6 weeks. ford "can't figure out what the problem is". In all this car has been in repairs 29 weeks since it rolled off the assembly line. 2007 Ford Freestyle Review: Do not buy. terrible vehicle. Unreliable, quirky problems that continue to crop up over and over and over and over. Ford is miserable to work with....they simply could care less you have the keys in your hand. |

| Pros: What do you like about 2007 Ford Freestyle? i like the comfort,it's a very smooth cuv.has enough power and a good transmission. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Ford Freestyle? what ford did for the taurus x 2007 Ford Freestyle Review: very good car |

| Pros: What do you like about 2007 Ford Freestyle? Traded '05 for '07 just to get CVT. Seamless in rush hr traffic, Heated leather seats are ++ in Chicago. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Ford Freestyle? Put non-reflective paint on dash, go back to manual heat/AC. 2007 Ford Freestyle Review: OEM Pirelli tires need upgrade for ice & snow, otherwise fantastic AWD. |

| Pros: What do you like about 2007 Ford Freestyle? Space, upright driver's position, road view, ride, braking, handling stability, interior space, utility, ease of entry-exit. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Ford Freestyle? Reduce powertrain noise, especially at highway acceleration, with a more powerful, smoother engine, replace the CVT with a smooth 6 speed automatic, & scrap the clumsy, cheap sounding 6-CD deck for a decent unit, start out with better tires. 2007 Ford Freestyle Review: I use my Freestyle mostly for business travel, but really appreciate its weekend utility for hauling project materials and just about anything else... huge cargo space in back and with passenger front fold-down feature can load 8' boards easily. A great overall vehicle, excellent for long highway trips if it weren't for the inherent noise of the CVT/V6 powertrain which groans under any kind of acceleration. I replaced the standard Continental tires with Michelins at 28,000 miles and what a difference in the ride, handling and road noise... why does Ford insist on compromising the such a great vehicle with such cheap tires? Great gas mileage for the vehicle's size. I should have waited a year as the new Taurus X evidently has the powertrain improvements noted above. The Freestyle seems solid, durable, and is trouble-free after 40,000 miles, and it's actually American made for the most part. |

| Pros: What do you like about 2007 Ford Freestyle? Ride. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Ford Freestyle? Better quality interior. Needs better gas mileage. 2007 Ford Freestyle Review: In the past I was partial to Ford products. However, after owning five Toyota & Lexus vehicles, Ford can't compete. I now drive a RX300 Lexus SUV and it gets 26 mpg hwy and 17-18 mpg city. Fords' sticker says 16 city, 23/hwy. Now we know this vehicle is not capable of either. Window sticker estimates are always high. |

| Pros: What do you like about 2007 Ford Freestyle? I have owned a 1998 GL (185,000 miles), a 2002 Windstar LX (130,000 miles) and now have a 2006 Freestar SEL (40 000 miles to date. They have all been great.Noproblems Cons: How would you improve 2007 Ford Freestyle? Keep making them. 2007 Ford Freestyle Review: I'm sorry Ford discontinued the minivan. I have had great service out of all three. The '98 was a taxi in Jacksonville after it had 135,000 miles. |

| Pros: What do you like about 2007 Ford Freestyle? I like the braking and handling, especially in wet weather. I like the ease of entry and exit, the cvt, the electronic info center and the first and second row seats Cons: How would you improve 2007 Ford Freestyle? The third row seats are uncomfortable for anyone except a small child. The bezels on the air conditioner vents should swivel; they look like they do, but they don't. The electronic controls for the air conditioning are confusing and I find myself taking my eyes off of the road for too long, trying to get the thing set for everyone's comfort. 2007 Ford Freestyle Review: We really like the Freestyle! We've had it (SEL, fwd) for three weeks and have taken two short trips. I love the handling. No,its not a sports car, but for what it is, the braking, steering and ride are very good. The CVT is cool, and seems to help utilize the power from the 3.0 liter engine. Acceleration is decent, high speed stability and quietness is exceptional for this type of vehicle. Economy is acceptable: about 23-24 mpg overall with a little over 3,000 with quite a bit of hiway driving. I am a little nervous about the durability of the cvt, so I bought the 100,000 mile power train warranty. By the time it gets that many miles on it, it will be time to replace it with another |

| Pros: What do you like about 2007 Ford Freestyle? Seating, chassis, safety ratings, versatility Cons: How would you improve 2007 Ford Freestyle? Unable to move through radio presets from the steering wheel buttons - only search. Poor marketing by Ford on this vehicle 2007 Ford Freestyle Review: EGR valve needed replacing at only 4,000 miles. Great solid Volvo chassis but engine dependability is suspect |

| Pros: What do you like about 2007 Ford Freestyle? roomy interior, gas mileage, exterior & interior design Cons: How would you improve 2007 Ford Freestyle? increase the h.p. of the base engine and offer a more powerful engine, maybe a 4.6 liter while maintaining good gas mileage. Offer a hybrid, sadly Ford lacks in the hybrid market |
